FOR Since doing my certificate in Clinical Aromatherapy in the early 2000s, I must have read dozens of aromatherapy books, ranging from heavy texts for the professional practitioner to introductory ones for the layman. But I don't think I've seen a better resource for the lay user than this one. T. Ormiston-smith.

This book is great for those who want alternative advice instead of just turning to pharmaceuticals. Patti Roberts has provided some great little recipes using common essential oils. I know I'll be trying some of these out for sure.
Having no idea on any type of medicinal herbs and their benefits or essential oils, I was eager to learn much so I purchased the paperback. ** Diffusing Essential Oils **
This book is perfect for any beginner !
After just having a major op , I was - am feeling a tad run down, needing something more so on the essential side. Looking for ideas of how to sleep better, what natural herbs I could take and just looking to take better care of myself during recover and afterwards. To regain my optimal health and benefits of more natural diffusing. Bring a calm I suppose into the room and house rather then the harsh electrical plugs in that I have found that now release toxins with their pretty aromas.
Patti Has put together a short but informative little book with the many essential oils great for many things. From Medicinal herbs to oils that you can pop in a diffuser to help with sleep, sexy times, kids, your four legged friends, allergies even Memory ** Think I need this one lol ** plus so much more. The list is countless, and I will slowly be making my way through them all once I order that diffuser ..
By reading along I also found this many can be added to a spray bottle as well. ** cleaning agents that make your bin smell better etc ** or just others that can be sprayed around the house with no harmful chemicals. ** This idea certainly interested me ** How many diffusers can one girl have ** lol **
I found the book very easily read, and informative. Intriguing to say the least. I have noted down areas I wish to try first. Other areas that certainly had me very keen to explore. The set out within the book was fun, pictures here and there, * I love imagery ** nothing overly crammed in, perfect in allocation and the way it was delivered.
After reading The Medicinal herbs sections I am yet to work out how and contents of the herbs to use. But its definitely an insight for those wanting well being and more natural ideas.
Why diffuse essential oils ? Because diffusing distribute essential oil molecules into the air so perfectly, it is an effective way in which to maxmimize the beneficial properties of essential oils
Informative, fun, and a must read for all those interested in finding their inner witch :D haha
I bought this book about essential oils because I have been ill and found essential oils to help with symptoms. I grow herbs in my garden and I knew little about essential oils, but not enough. This book by Patti Roberts was perfect! It to lists each essential oil and explains how and when to use them. The author even warns what oils to avoid if you have a cat or dog. I certainly didn't know that! I love how this book explains how to use a defuser and how to use them. What a great reference book to keep in your bookcase, or to give as a gift in a paperback. I have both ebook and paperback. Now I can check my ebook in my phone while shopping, or refer to my paperback, which I keep on my coffee table where it is easy to find in a hurry. Wow, I just love this book, and it is so affordable. Great bargain with so much information without it being too bulky. I highly recommend it. Five Stars of course! Thank you for a better night's sleep, Patti Roberts!
I found this book to be filled with helpful information, not only about diffusers, but about the many uses of essential oils and their purposes - how to use them, which one to use for particular needs and conditions, etc. The book was down-to-earth and well written. I have used scented candles for a while now, but now I want a diffuser and plan to get one right away. Thanks Patti Roberts. I really enjoyed this book.

The information provided is sound, and the scope is confined to the kind of ordinary everyday use that makes up 99% of most people's use of aromatherapy, without confusing the issue with irrelevant technical information. Of the recommended blends, several are identical with my own 'go-to' favourites. Further, all of the recommended blends use oils that are relatively easy to source - there are none of the arcane, eye-of-newtish ingredients that can be so annoyingly impossible to find
The book is written in a breezy, chatty style that's easy to follow without crossing the line into overly casual. All around, it's a fantastic resource for any household or individual. Highly recommended.
Great little book. Bought this book as an introduction to diffusing oils. It's got some very nice blends in it. Not at all complicated to read. Obviously if you're looking for a more in depth explanation of all the oils, what they do, how to use them all etc, then I wouldn't get this book. It briefly explains the uses of the oils it uses in the blends mentioned in the book & the different types of diffuser etc.
The art of diffusing is really simple. Just get the EO and count the drops. The recipes here in the book are very basic and using some really expensive oils, Melissa, sandalwood, rose, chamomile and neroli. There was not really many recipes using more exotic scents.
Great for cancer patients looking for a healthy relationship with foods and herbs.
I was just skimming this and found an amazing recipe book by accident! My mom is battling cancer so the smoothie book will be next on my list to assist her battle. I loved the facts added about ingredients.
This book is a great quick reference essential oils book for beginners. It gives the ins and the outs of which oils to you as long as when and with whom they are safe to use!
I sat & read this from cover to cover; though a brief read it was very informative; if you're thinking about trying diffusing this book is a terrific starting point...
