ALERT: THIS IS A RANT! bear with me because I do have reasons.

Normally I try to be respectful and if I don't like the book I just state my reasons and leave but I am so fucking offended by this that I NEED to say something.

I read the first book in this duet when it came out and today I randomly remembered another book by the author so I went looking for it and found this and I thought "cool I wanna know the end of the story" well fuck this.

I'm not even going to talk about the story because it was completely destroyed by the epilogue. see the epilogue it's from the POV of a 3rd character, a female friend who's also the surrogate of the main couple. I was confused but intrigued at first. boy did shit went to hell fast.

First, she's a surrogate, you know what that means? you are basically a human incubator, I know that sounds awful but it is what it is and that's a decision women make for either money or help people that want a family, this woman oh so selfless right?? fuck that! she states that she only agreed to be surrogate if she's part of the baby's life, it's her egg so of course that's her baby. and see I get some people have different arrangements but it's more complicated, when you decide to be a surrogate you know are giving the baby to the couple. they are the parents, you don't just demand shit.
but that's only the tip of the iceberg.

this woman describes herself as a unicorn because she's bisexual and it's open to threesomes, foursomes or whatever comes are way. what the actual fuck??? as a bisexual woman I'm so fucking offended for so many reasons. and that's basically a direct quote, I'm not paraphrasing her, people!

you think I'm done? nop. here comes the last straw.
this is an MM story so of course I was confused about the female POV epilogue but hey it was about a baby so cool right? no, this epilogue included a threesome between a committed couple and their surrogate, which whatever both men are bisexual. the thing is, it just felt wrong and the further I read the more disrespectful it got. the woman has to tell the guys she doesn't want a relationship with them.. when they never before the epilogue even hinted about wanting her as part of the relationship. where did this come from?? are you telling me bisexual men can't have relationships unless a woman is included?? you might think I'm exaggerating but no, even the author states that she is happy to get back to writing about MF on her next book (preggo's story). she prefers MF but is here writing awful MM rep? I can't even.

I haven't read anything else in this universe and I felt like I was a little bit out of the loop. Unfortunately, the couples are M/F, and so I just tried to follow along. I think fans of the characters will enjoy this story more.

After finding out that his best friend, Dex, is a dom, Aryn wonders if that's what he has been missing. He's going threw the motions and he is going from hookup to hookup without any emotional attachments. Aryn thinks he's a dom and he goes to a private BDSM club with his friend Dex and his sub, Raine. There he meets Caden, a well-known Master at the club. Aryn has wanted to know what it would be like to be with a man and he gets his chance with Caden. I was wondering how Ashley was going to be involved with Aryn and Caden I'm glad I waited to read this as the extended epilogue is crucial to their story. We see that they have their HEA and that Ashley will find her own men.

THANK GOODNESS!!

Thank Goodness. When I first read Aryn's and Caden's stories along with the original epilogue, I was seriously and truly upset-- it looked like Ashley was going to join Aryn and Caden's relationship to create a triad relationship which felt so completely and incredibly WRONG. So, I am relieved to find out that Aryn and Caden will remain a twosome while Ashley moves on to build her own HEA.

Wow!!! I cannot get enough of Zoey's books and I LOVE how Aryn and Caden finally got their happily ever after. I truly enjoy how each book in the series has pieces of prior characters woven in and you get to follow their stories without being in competition with the main characters. Thank you Zoey for your amazing writing, your building of complex characters and your amazing stories. I can't WAIT to read Ash's story and I sure hope that she too will find her happily ever after.

Wow! What a story!

Loved these books, although the storyline was completely unexpected after reading the 69 Bottles books. Honestly, I kept waiting for something different to happen...maybe a different ending. But I sure am glad that Ash will get a story too.
Great writing. A few typos, but thoroughly enjoyed the books!

ok, so, Zoey D. writes like no other writer I have ever read. This story pulled every emotion out of me, like a roller-coaster. I even learned a few things about myself, as I was learning and loving there characters. I wanted to jump in the pages and defend human rights to love. Must read !!!
