Interviews prove to be a nightmare and can be very frightening, at times. It is like to ace it, to bag your dream job, you ought to be the perfect one. You need to be good at presenting yourself with your knowledge and articulate it well right in front of your employers.

Data Structures & Algorithms by Vibrant Publishers is a short book that compiles the basic information about the topic in the form of questions and answers. The concepts behind them are put in a very lucid language that is comprehensible and appropriate from the interview point of view. It starts with explaining the basics of data structures such as types of data, sorting algorithms, practical applications, etc. It goes on to explain the types of data structures in detail with examples. At places, you’ll find relevant C programs which make it easier for the readers to understand the topic and lean its applications. I liked how the complex subject has been put forth in a simple manner. Given the fact that I absolutely dislike technical stuff, I actually liked going through this book. It was because things are not presented as mundane and verbose sentences but easy to understand language which connects even with a newbie. Also, the book stands out as a good source to tool yourself with knowledge at the last moment because of its preciseness and conciseness. However, the book could only be of help to you if you are already aware of topics. It is best for a quick revision and recapitulation. What follows the world of data structures and frightening algorithms is a wide array of relevant and mostly asked HR questions. The answers and the right strategy to answer them are also provided which is indeed interesting and informative.

Although the book is enough, I felt that in initial chapters, more examples should have been added to supplement the theory so that the book could help its readers well.

In all, the book is the appropriate one to refer to for the students preparing for technical interviews. I am sure you’d benefit from it.

MY RATING: 4.25/ 5

Assume that there are few days left for your interview and you need to revise all the theoretical concepts of data structure…Then this book is really nice to go through! Not awesome but it is easy to revise everything in short time.

In terms of answers I am not very satisfied but yes the questions although very basic but are really helpful!

This book is equipped with a very nice set of basic as well as mediocre level questions which will definitely help you out in revising the questions for job interview if you are pursuing a degree in computer science as well as if you are preparing for your exams.T his book covers almost all important topics and you’ll also get an idea of what you need to cover. Also, the book has a bunch of HR questions which will open up your thinking.

The small size makes it easy to read and go through because definitely, it would be tiresome to revise from a book like Cormen “Algorithm analysis and design” with almost or above 1k pages! (Yes I’ve read it,apko kya lga mai sirf novels padhta hoon)

It is worthy to own this book,I would give it 3.7 stars out of 5, 1-star drop because of the okayish answering pattern (The answers could have been much better) and 0.3 for the questions I felt important but were not discussed!

If you are pursuing computer science degree then yes it’s a useful book !

This book covers all the Data Structure and Algorithms topics ranging from arrays, stacks, trees, hash data structures, etc. to concepts of algorithms, HR Questions, etc.

The setting of the book is simple and efficient. Each listed topic has a set of questions and answers. The questions which are theory based are answered in that manner, whereas step-wise solutions are also provided for the questions which are procedure based. Overall, both theoretical and practical based questions and answers are present in the book.

The book is helpful for those who are or will be sitting for interviews in this field; going through this book will not only provide you with knowledge or revise your concepts, but it will also induce a confidence in you as you'll be PREPARED for the questions that would be asked in the interview.

This book has 200 questions based on Data Structures and Algorithms, while 77 HR questions too. You can even download 2 Aptitude tests from the publisher's website. The font size used is appropriate for easy reading and the manufacturing quality of the book is GREAT.

To conclude, this book is VERY BENEFICIAL to be PREPARED before interviews and revise your learning, so that you are spot on in the interview and get selected!

Data Structures Interview Questions is a comprehensive and detailed explanation about data structures.

The book is divided into two parts.
The first part contains basic concepts like Arrays, Linked Lists, Queues.
The second part is about advanced concepts like algorithms and Huffman coding.

Each chapter is presented in question and answer format and starts with a basic explanation going to more complex questions.

I have studied this subject earlier and I found this book very useful for revision. It contains all the necessary information regarding the subject. I also learnt many new and interesting things about data structures from this book.

Way better than "OOPS Interview Questions You'll Most Likely Be Asked" I've read.

Covers most of algorithms & data structures questions I can think of. I didn't have the time to check each question but there were no obviously wrong, answers.

However remember that this focuses mostly on a question -> answer format. Picking up the latest Cracking the Code Interview is mandatory since you'll most likely have to implement stuff.

Good compilation of Data Structures and Algorithms Q&A. I don't think it's worth 20 dollars though, since most of the answers are definitions copied from Wikipedia.
