First half of book presents fundamental mathematical definitions, concepts, and facts while remaining half deals with statistics primarily as an interpretive tool. Well-written text and numerous worked examples with step-by-step presentation. 116 tables.
The Statistical Analysis of experimental Data is a great book for math enthusiast or people who want to learn of this topic. It gives a comprehensive overview of the mathematics of statistical analysis. It starts simple, beginning with topics like measurement then introduces more complex subjects such as relative sensitivity curve. Do take note it seems he did intend this book, with good reason, to be read by people who have some sort of background in math. He does say right in the beginning “the aim of this book is to offer experimental scientist an appreciation of the statistical approach to data analysis.”(Preface;V)
