The book I actually read was subtitled “ A Beginner’s Guide To Our Digital World”. It’s a beautiful book that takes my HS “computer science/programming” course down to an early elementary level. It’s so important that kids learn not just how to use black boxes, but actually how this stuff works and came to be. I’m now really interested in this series for my kids.

I'mnor sure that this is the information young readers want to know about computers. The design and layout looks targeted to 2 Ms graders, but it's too much text on the page for these young readers

Well written children's nonfiction book explaining about computers and coding with lots of text features. Supplemental coding activities provided in a companion website. Probably around a 2nd grade level, but older students might even find some of the definitions helpful. For example- explaining about inputs vs. outputs and the different data storage units.
