Performance Testing Guidance for Web Applications provides an end-to-end approach for implementing performance testing. Whether you are new to performance testing or looking for ways to improve your current performance-testing approach, you will gain insights that you can tailor to your specific scenarios.
A good book on the topic. It can be a bit repetitive and that may be because you can read the chapters independently, so they copy and pasted some things. It is more about theory than tools, but if you use Visual Studio for performance testing, you will recognize the terms and some screens from that tool. I think that should be expected from a Microsoft book. :-) There are a lot of good ideas and practices in here and I found it helpful to confirm that I have been doing things correctly and also found a few items that will be helpful in doing a better job in the future.
