Started reading the free sample on Google play last month. Finally restarted yesterday, hooked!, Must buy if you are interested in F# , big data, text mining or just want to learn the basics of OCR, spam filtering techniques etc. Must buy! I did.

Since I read it I moved to the Duke side of the force. But even then lessons learned here are useable on Java/Scala and ofcourse Machine Learning in General. I Really want working Type providers on Java/Scala

Clear overview, starting from a simple solution building up to more advanced items.
Crystal clear explanation and useful examples to get the basics of ML.
Now hope that the Microsoft.ML project is also shifting more to a F#/Functional approach.
