This is a fun book for young readers, although it took us a long time to read it, since our oldest really only wanted to read one or two pages at a time. It has eleven chapters, all about a family with a couple of dogs named Zip and Zap. It has short sentences and easy words for young readers to sound out. As long as you have patience, this is a great book to read together with your child. The illustrations are cute and colorful and keep the child engaged in the story.

This is a great book for beginning readers featuring short, simple sentences and a repetition of phonic elements. There is also a list of high frequency words in the back for the beginning reader to practice before beginning the story. Cute pictures!

This book is designed for phonics. The story is shallow, but introduces students to quite a few high frequency words like, time , show, here, once, play, when. Great for early readers,
