Never Let Me Go: Part 1

One night. That’s all it was supposed to be. No strings. No complications.

Grace DeLeo didn’t do one night stands. She was a relationship girl through and through. All of that went out the window when she met Logan in a bar while he was in town on business.

Logan McFadden liked his no strings lifestyle. He loved his rules. Everything had a place, and there was no space for a relationship or feelings.

One night. That’s all it took to change things forever.

I started writing in 2011 and it quickly became a passion for me. I'm very lucky that writing brought so many amazing people into my life! And it also brought me the love of being a cheerleader! I learned that aside from writing, I love helping other authors reach for their own dreams. If you need someone in your corner, please don't hesitate to message me!

Usually the first chapter of any book makes me decide whether a book is turning me on or off.I am afraid the intro had me cringing which I doubt was the author's intent.I know current new adult books are brimming with overindulgent sexcapades but in the intro scene the sex scenes where barely descriptive & just plain simple so I,THE READER was not draw in nor captivated by anything the hero did or did not do because this was all I read 'Logan was insatiable; he took me places I had never been, made me feel things I didn't think were possible.

Just when I thought I was done, he pushed for more.

“Oh Kitten, we’re not even close to done.” He grinned wickedly and crushed his mouth against mine.

He angled his hips in a way that hit every sensitive spot at once and I bit my lip to keep from screaming his name. I knew it at that moment, he had just ruined me for anyone else'And that was all I got from the intro.

What was the heroine obsessing ABOUT?I felt no connection,no heat,no nothing from that being the pivotal scene. The heroine came across as being needy, clingy and to mope about a total stranger with no name, the mind boggles.

OMG!! I think this book is my fave by far of Jessica Gibsons books. It was so hot!! Loved every minute of it, once I started reading it I couldnt put it down. I mean Logan was the total package; wealth, charming and sex appeal who wouldnt fall for him at first sight. I really wanted to get to know his friend more I hope we hear more about him in the next book or maybe even in a spin off that would be awesome! However, the ending Jessi about killed me with that ending I need the sequel to this book like yesterday, I cant wait to see where the characters wind up and how things end because I feel stuck now, I need to know what happens next LOL I highly recommend Never Let Me Go as I do any and all of Jessica Gibson's books, you will fall in love with each character guaranteed!

In the first part of Never Let Me Go we meet Logan, a rich playboy who only does one night stands. That is, until he meets Grace. Grace is a kind business owner who is looking for true love. She doesn’t do the one-night stand thing; she gets too emotional. But when she meets Logan in a bar, she can’t help herself. They have a quick fling that both of them can’t seem to forget.

After months of being miserable, Grace’s family forces her to go see Logan and see if what they had was a real connection. Her relationship with her family was my favorite part. Her sister Faith was funny and always tells it like it is.

“I’ll cancel. I can get laid whenever, and you need me more than I need a dick.”

I loved the encouragement the sisters provided to each other throughout everything.
The connection between Logan and Grace is instant.

“Before long, I had her pressed up against the wall with her legs around my waist. I wanted all of her pleasure, it belonged to me.”

At times, I felt that their relationship was too insta-lovey, and that it was moving way too fast. I felt like a lot of their disagreements were simply because they barely knew each other. But the ending left me wanting more. I can’t wait to read part two and find out if they are able to work through this. ~ Tiffany, 3.5 stars

I received for my honest opinion and honestly the only disappointment was it finished and I wanted more. I started reading and finished in one day I had not even realized that I was near the end, it is a cliffhanger. The story itself is great you can sincerely relate to the characters. We all have that friend or family member that wants true love. And when they fall they fall hard. Grace is a romantic and she never does one night stands, for whatever the reason she takes a chance with logan and that one night was like a lifetime. The story is well written it kept my interest.i really enjoyed the flow of the story. another great book can't wait till book 2 is out.

Jessica Gibson is one of my favorite authors. She has such pure raw talent. I am always totally sucked into her books and finish them so quickly. This one was no different.

Logan and Grace met at a bar (how cliché). It was suppose to be just one night. Sometimes it takes just one chance meeting to know things are meant to be with someone.

When Logan and Grace meet up again sparks fly. Can they really make this work when they are virtually strangers? Sometimes it really is love at first sight.

Jessica is the queen at cliffhangers though. She knows exactly to leave you on the edge of your seat begging for more! I can’t wait until the next book comes out.

Never let me go is a 3 book series with each book being approximately 100pages in each book.
As the books are short in the series I managed to read all 3 books in a few hours.
This book and series really split me in half. One part of me really enjoyed the dynamic of the story as it was not just based on the couples relationship but it was very focused on friendship and family. The other part of me was just so thrown with how fast paced the story was. The story went from a one nightstand with Logan and Grace, to the both pining for each other for each other for 3 months because of the one night stand , to meeting up again and Logan deciding he was moving from New York to Chicago and wanting Grace to move in with him. It all happened within the first 50 pages and was so unrealistic that I couldn't take the book seriously.
I'm glad that the family and friend dynamic was so strong and that Logan had secrets and mystery in his life that kept me interested and wanting to find out more.
Grace is a women who is strong, owns her own company and has a great relationship with her sisters. All the sisters were so different but similar at the same time.
Logan is a billionaire and is only interested in one night stands. He thinks every women is after him just for his money so he sticks to casual no strings relationships. He thought Grace was just another women to fill his needs but after she left he pined fir her for months and only wanted her. Once she came and found him he went from being a one night stand man to taking things full throttle and wanting everything. He is extremely strong willed and gas never been told no before so as Grace is just as strong they find them self battling to see who wins.
Logan does have a history, secrets and mystery about him that kept me interested in the story. I like the story was told in duel point of view and that even though sex was mentioned in the book the sex was never descriptive. In a way I found that refreshing. A lot of books focus so much on the sex and you end up reading the same thing over and over in different books. I liked that the sex wasn't focused on in this story.
The characters in the story were interesting but I couldn't over look how super fast every thing went and that the book was just so unrealistic. It had so much potential in my eyes but because the book was so short it just didn't deliver for me unfortunately.
The book was a ok quick read. If you don't mind or can over look how fast paced the story is then the story is worth a read as the friendships, family and secrets make it worth it.
The cliffhanger was big though and I'm glad I got to read book 2 straight after as I did want to no what was going to happen next.

Grace De Leo was a relationship kind of a gal. Until she met Logan and decided to throw caution out of the window and be wild for one night. She knew her craziness was going to bring her pain and she regretted her actions as soon as the morning arrived. Now, how would she move on?

"I was stupid to let myself dream about a future with a man I had just met. He had been clear from the start. It was only the one night."

Logan McFadden was not looking for relationships. He had simple rules to never share last names and personal information with his affairs. Until he met Grace and she proved to be a temptation bigger than his set of rules. Were they fated to be together?
" I don't do perfect, and I don't do relationships. I'm not comfortable with them. They are too familiar."

Never Let Me Go had a good story flow, with no typo mistakes and good cohesion. Both main characters were interesting and it also had several promising secondary characters. The chemistry between characters was obvious and their passionate scenes were fun. The story hooked me enough, that I would have bought part two right now, if it were out yet.

Even though the main characters were compelling, I was unable to connect or relate with them. Their love story happened too fast, and if felt totally unreal for me.

I have already signed up for Ms. Gibson newsletter, so I will know when part two will come out. I'm looking forward to it, and to see how the little twist at the end will be resolved.

You may read this book, if you enjoy romantic novellas; you should read this book, if you like billionaire-type-of-love stories; you MUST read this book, if your heart becomes lighter at love at first sight tales!

A great start to a new serial.

Grace DeLeo hadn’t had good luck in the romance department and falling into sudden lust, and right away in bed, with Logan McFadden was totally out of the norm for her. Her sister Faith, who was happy to flit from one man to the next, was thrilled to see Grace step out of her self-imposed sex embargo but that quickly turned to concern. Grace went into her one-night stand with no illusion of forever ever after but in those few hours something changed. Unfortunately, it did not seem to change for Logan. They went their separate ways with no last names and definitely no contact information shared. Grace was stuck in limbo – she couldn’t get past that one night despite her sister’s attempts to coax her back into the social scene. With her sisters rallying around her, Grace is forced to make a decision. Would it be the right one?

I enjoyed this short novella, the first in the serial trilogy. It was a quick read and didn’t have all the details I may have liked but the tantalizing glimpses into both Grace and Logan’s past made me want to learn more. They both come with full sets of baggage and not all was revealed so this installment definitely has me looking forward to the next chapter in the series. I liked the main characters; they weren’t perfect and didn’t pretend to be. Grace’s sisters and Logan’s friends provided great support and insight into what made them tick. Well-written, the cliff-hanger took me from zero to wow in one page. How quickly things change in the world of a cliff-hanger novella! I’m off to find part two because I can’t be left here for long, I just can’t!

I was very underwhelmed by this book. The connexion between Grace and Logan was supposed to be explosive, but I saw nothing really important. They 'bonded' over the fact they like kitties over puppies (?!?) and a few other things, and then it's an hour or so later and Grace is leaving the club with him.

I don't like Grace as a character, either. When they walk into his swanky suite she comments that he must be really rich. Wow. That is terribly uncouth and rude and what does it matter? They have sex, and I guess it was mind blowing - you receive a few sentences about it, couched fairly vaguely, and you're left to imagine the connexion and how amazing it is supposed to be.

Then Grace turns needy. If there was some well-thought out development, some intimate interludes you were privy to, other than, 'we watched three movies afterwards', you might feel it, have sympathy for her. Instead after some sex and snuggling, she goes on a month-long self-pitying bender.

I really feel if you're trying to convey insta-connexion you need to have some things for people to latch on to; let me be a voyeur to some touching intimacy that explains all the rest but there was none of that, so the rest of the story fell away for me.

Also a few errors like 'illicit' instead of 'elicit' led to additional disappointment.

Not every romance needs to be of a length that Dostoyevsky would approve of, but when the story is about two people creating a lifelong bond based on just a few hours of time together, it should be compelling - it COULD be very compelling, full of genuine, heart tugging angst; this just doesn't accomplish that.

Great start for another little mini series !!

Grace is nothing like her crazy sister !! She likes relationships and is so not a one night stand girl. Hold that thought , when Mr. hot in a suit comes up to her at the bar she may just change her mind !! Both Grace and Logan agree for this one night and although it is a norm for Logan he feels this connection just as much as Grace does. Love the dual POV , I am such a fan of that , love being in everyones heads !! Fast forward a few months and they are both miserable , Grace in Chicago and Logan in NY. Grace does something totally out of character and it may just pay off , or not....

I enjoyed getting to know a few of the side characters during their time apart but I really was just ready to jump right in and see where things would go with Grace and Logan. Surprise surprise they are both on the same page and it is a blissful reconnection. As with anything happy there is always that chance for your past to come bite you in the.....

WOW what an ending....luckily I am moving on to part 2 !!

*I received a complimentary copy of Never Let Me Go Part 1 in exchange for my honest review. All opinions shared are 100% my own.*

Grace has played it safe all her life, but one night she decides to go with her gut/libido and spend the night with Logan, who doesn't do relationships. Sparks fly between the two, but Logan lets her go after the one night. They go their separate ways with each one unknowingly thinking of the other.

Grace seeks comfort from her 3 sisters, Faith, Hope and Charity (I love those names!) and tries to move on from the tight rein Logan has on her. Logan turns back to his partying but it is empty without Grace.

The book is a quick read and while a romance, it doesn't go too deep into detail which is good for "tame" readers. It also ends in a big cliffhanger and I have to know what happens next.

Grace is not the type that does one night stands but once look at Logan and she decides that one night won’t hurt. Logan is your typical bachelor who doesn’t want commitment so when he sees Grace he doesn’t think anything different about their one night together. Both Grace and Logan couldn’t been any more wrong.

Never Let You Go (Part 1) grabs you right from the very start! Grace has just gotten out of a terrible relationship and isn’t looking for anyone. Logan doesn’t want to settle so the one night stand should be anything but causal, right? Totally not the case! Both of them have an instant attraction and the story that unfolds from this one night is awesome!!! If you hate cliffhangers, beware there is one and you will be sitting there with your jaw wide open!!!
I can’t wait to read the second one installment of this book!!!

I read this book in a couple hours. I couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the story.
The relationship with the sisters is amazing. I love how different and similar they are. I really liked Grace and Logan. I also really liked that it went from Grace and Logan's point of view. I love romantic stories and espicially when you get to see both sides to their thoughts.
Logan's best friend is a hoot. Him and Faith added the humor into the story.
Crazy how people can get so afraid of love. I understand that but you don't live until you have loved. That is the part of life and I am glad that eventually both Logan and Grace see that. Granted they both needed help from their friends and family. But what good relationship doesn't have friends and family helping.
I cannot wait to read the next and see where else this story goes. Espicially with that twist of that ending.

I thought this was a very good start to the series. I liked the family dynamic with Grace and her sisters and how they help each other and rely on each other. I also liked the friendship with Logan and Smith. Faith and Smith definitely add the humor factor.

*****SPOILERS*****

Grace and Logan meet and have a one night agreement. Grace is a relationship kind of girl while Logan only does one night. Grace is devastated the next morning when Logan doesn't want anything more.

They both spend the next 3 months thinking about each other. Logan has all her information but decides that if it meant to be, she will find him.

Faith and Hope finally convince Grace to go talk to him. Their reunion is explosive. But just as everything seems to be coming together, the story takes an unexpected twist.

Cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next one!

The way this book starts out is so good. It hooks me right from the first page. I think it is Logan that does it. Grace basically lets him just pick her up in a club. Right away we find out he is some rich guy. Everything about him screams Alpha, but then where are the sex scenes? I don’t need those scenes to enjoy a book but sometimes the direction that the book is taking just needs them. When they hook up, they agree it’s just for one night, but then Grace seems heartbroken when he left her with even knowing his last name. I loved Logan! He was the ultimate book boyfriend. I wish a little more of the book would have been focused on them and not so much time with Grace’s sisters, but I am hoping to make up for that in the next book. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one to get more of Logan and Grace’s story! Good book!

Grace is one of four daughters in the DeLeo family. She runs her own PR company in Chicago and feels accomplished in that area of her life. Hurt in the past, she hasn't found that special someone that could close that longing in her life. Not one to be a `one night stand' type of girl like her sister Faith, she experiences a few blind dates that leave her feeling incomplete. Then one night Faith gets Grace to go out with her and Grace's life changes forever.

My hat is off to author, Jessica Gibson. Her writing flows throughout this book, each page just as interesting as the next. I was able to sit down and read it in one sitting. A rarity for me; so that has to tell you how good it is. The characters are easy to love and after finishing part 1, I can't wait to read part 2.

I had the pleasure of reading book and what I can say is WOW! I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. Logan and Grace met at a bar and the chemistry between the two characters is instant! After a night of hot sex with no strings attached they parted ways. However both characters started questioning their feelings for each other but to stubborn to do anything about them. Months later they meet again and sparks begin to fly. I don't want to give to much away so you must go and by the book like NOW! This book is very well written and will keep your interest throughout! I so can't wait for book 2 to come out. This book is a must read!

This was a interesting and different take on a one night stand. Both Logan and Grace don't believe in relationships and neither one knows what to do about the feelings they can't deny after a brief one night stand. Neither character trusts their emotions, one is hurt and the other is running making for an entertaining reading experience. This was a quick read with an engaging storyline. However, I have to warn you, it has a hell of a cliffhanger at the end. I can't wait to read part 2 as it is going to be quite an interesting read.

An interesting take on love at first sight and one night stands, Never Let Me Go, kept me ignoring the chat I was in so I could keep reading. Luckily, nobody noticed I'd gone quiet! Grace and Logan seem so different and by the end of the book, you're left wondering if this will really work out how they want it to..and what will happen with her sister, Faith? And a hundred other questions..all in all, a really great read and I can't wait until Part Two comes out and fingers crossed I get to review it!

Grace doesn't do one night stands.
Logan will only give one night.

Logan's a self imposed man-whore after a past that haunts him. Grace is just looking for Mr Right but ended up with Mr Right Now. After a sex filled night she walked away but wouldn't / couldn't forget about him. No last names were exchanged. She didn't know how to contact him. Until one day she sees him on the cover of Forbes. With her sisters insistence she flys to New York to see Logan.

Loved this book. Hell of a cliffhanger!! On to book two now!!
