This serial is dedicated to the couples in the world that are willing to keep trying no matter what.
Jason thought he'd lost Hope. She'd been showing interest in another man and it burnt his heart. The trial was underway and it was time to prove himself. When the cat rebels kidnapped him, he thought that he'd be killed. He had to get Hope back and he'd do anything to prove his worth to her. Even if that meant disowning the Perfects.
Rachel Medhurst grew up in a small village in Surrey, England. She writes to inspire and heal. She lives in the British countryside with her dog. If she’s not writing, she can be found walking in nature and reading. I loved Jason and Hope's story, the trial was amazing and I loved how Jason finally stood up to his mom Catherine who is a perfect witch with a capital B. Looking for to reading Gina's story next.
Continuing on from book number 2, serial 3 focuses more on Jason, the perfect/angel.
In this story we see the trial for Sandor carry on, as evidence builds and witnesses step up, we learn more about the avoidable/perfect divide.
What I love in each continuation of the avoidables is that we see the characters grow and change. Becoming more emotionally ept, case in point Jason.
It was wonderful seeing him become more confident and more sure of himself and we get a bit more insight into just how he and Hope can close the divide that their world has grown accustomed too.
Packed with plenty of drama, the story flows through the pages. I am excited to see where Rachel's writing takes us in the next book.
Great series by Rachel Medhurst. This story was a little different than the first two because this time Rachel gave us the story from Jason, a perfects POV. This story was a fun one, it kept me on the edge of my seat begging for more. I think this is a great series but I don't think the author should've kept each story so short. Rachel should just turn this into one book. It would sell easier, faster, and it would be less expensive than the way she has done it.
Ian Barker did a great job. I've never heard this narrator until the second audio and it was Purple's POV. I'm very interested in listening to other books that he's narrated. He did another fantastic job with his telling of the story. I was immersed from start to finish. Overall, I give it a perfect 5 star rating!
Unlike the first two books this one is written through the eyes of a Perfect Jason. It gives a lot of insight as to the lives of Perfects and how they behave towards Avoidables. We also get a lot of answers regarding issues mentioned in the previous books. Sandor (who has always been an important character but only talked about) is an important part of this book and after reading it you feel like you know her and her reasons behind her arrest. As always a very well written book that keeps you going right to the end. I can not wait until the next book is released.
Serial 3 Seen through Jason’s Perfect eyes. Also covers Sandor Avoidables court case and the reasons why she was arrested and charged. The picture is forming very clearly and you get a better understanding of the Perfects, Avoidables and Angels. Love and adoration is seen and is developing fast. Very well written book that keeps you going right to the end, I never wanted to put it down, roll on Serial 4.
I'm a little biased since I narrate Rachel's books for Audible, Amazon and iTunes - however, the Avoidables series is a great set of tales about those who have and those who have not. Some parity with distopian worlds like Bladerunner, Insurgence and so on intermingled with fantasy and, yes, a little romance too.
I liked getting to see this world through the eyes of a perfect. I also really enjoyed the introduction of the new group of avoidables. It made an already interesting story, that much more. I'm one my way to the fourth installment of the series, and will be on the lookout for any more.
