I have to start off with just WOW. Jenna Jacob is the one of the many authors that I would set everything aside and delve right in as soon as she has a book that releases. The Doms of Genesis series just goes beyond the simple BDSM type book. Fantastic story line that has the reader immersed into the story and emotionally connect with the characters. Lots of sensuality, laughs, and on the edge of your seat excitement/action.

Saving my Submission is very fitting for this story. We are introduced to Joshua, a famous sculptor that's came back out into the public with an exhibition after years of being hidden away. The further we dive in the story, we find out why he's been hidden away, the past he's living with, not knowing how to cope with the current changes in his life when a special someone blindsides him bringing out his dormant alpha dominant side that wants to unravel and come off the leash.

Mellie, is in control, of her career, life, and environment. She's vowed to never be submissive to anyone ever again after what she has gone through and ultimately ran away from. Just when she thinks the submissive in her is buried deep enough to never come surface, she realizes her submissive tendencies surface when Joshua comes around. Can Mellie let her inner submissive come out and possibly become "whole" or will the fear take her back and possibly lose the people that make her happy and stop running.

There's so much more to this story than what's left in this review, pasts come back to test both, Joshua & Mellie, rock their foundation. I'm not one to spoil a great book but Saving My Submission is a definite must read.

Back to GENESIS we go...where the Doms are deliciously seductive and the subs are fiercely sexy! Right off the bat, Ms. Jacob takes us on a scorching hot, kinky, angst ridden thrill ride. In Saving My Submission, Jenna Jacob does what she does best...making us weak in the knees with the incredibly explosive chemistry she creates between the two main characters. A big grin spread across my face after reading the first couple of pages! Instantly, we experience that explosive chemistry between the sheets. Those pages set the scene perfectly with how this storyline is going to play out. A fiercely independent woman, whose submissive side has been put to rest forever, and the incredibly sexy sculptor, whose strong hands will help this sleeping submissive awaken to a new light full of sexual splendor and complete surrender. Patience and limits will be tested. Their past took away a piece of their soul. Only together and connected can they start the healing process and repair what once was broken.

Ms. Jacob does such a wonderful job creating such beautiful, broken characters that immediately latch on to your heart and NEVER lets go. Unlike the previous Doms of Genesis book, I didn't get CRAZY emotional with this one, yet it still got to me somehow. It's never hard to find some aspect in her characters that you can relate to, which makes following along in the story, that much more intense. We have all dealt with something in our past that rocked our worlds on such a level that it changed part of us; maybe even a part of you stayed hidden away. How long can you neglect something that was so deeply embedded into your soul? For Mellie, her submissiveness was a big part of her. That, along with her trust in the BDSM culture was ripped away a long time ago. She has learned to live without that important piece for years. After one spectacular night with the beautiful Joshua Lars, her submissive light started to flicker. The more she thought about that night, and how he commanded her body and her mind, the more that light started to thrive.

Mellie and Joshua both have fears, similar fears that could make or break their union. Together they will fight for each other the only way they know how. Joshua will show Mellie that her submissive side is something to be treasured always, taking her body to new heights and helping her soul soar. Sometimes as a reader, you get lucky and come across an author that impresses and a series that amazes you with each new chapter. You know what I’m talking about - the series that becomes an automatic purchase and an author who pulls you in emotionally and doesn’t let you go until the final page. Well Jenna Jacob and her Doms of Genesis series easily falls into that category. So you know when the fourth installment, Saving My Submission, became available that I was one-clicking that book.

There are so many reasons that Doms of Genesis is a must read. First there are the characters themselves. In Saving My Submission, we are introduced to Mellie Carson and Joshua Lars. Mellie is a smart, sassy, career-oriented woman who doesn’t believe in long-term relationships. But it’s no surprise to discover that her audacious attitude is really a mask to hide the pain she has as a result of a bad experience with a prior master. Joshua has his own pain to deal with after the death of his wife and daughter. When he meets Mellie at the showing of his art work, he is immediately drawn to her. Will she be the one to pull him into the light? And can he help her get over past hurts and rediscover her submissive side?

I absolutely loved Mellie. Every snarky comment that came out of her mouth only endeared her to me more. She is proof positive that being submissive does not make a woman weak or fragile. Joshua’s story just broke my heart and I loved the fact that he was able to recognize how his own demons affected his relationship with Mellie. Each needed to be honest and open in their communication. Their individual insecurities but strong desire to overcome them helped these two burrow into my heart.

Another reason you have to read this series is because Ms. Jacob can write a sex scene that will leave you panting, hot and bothered, and needing a cold shower. Yet despite the unbelievable hotness factor, you can still see the love and respect that is the foundation of each couple’s relationship. And does she ever know how to write BDSM that left me feeling mastered and wrung out.

Even with so much attention to the sexual relationship between Mellie and Joshua, Ms. Jacob didn’t skimp on other parts of the story. You still received a fully thought out story with tension and drama as the two battled a killer who was out for Mellie’s blood. I was on the edge of my seat wondering who the bad guy was and how our couple would triumph over evil.

I have read and loved each book of the series so I was so happy that the characters that I have grown to care for made their appearances in this book. It was wonderful to learn where they are today and have them share their knowledge and experience with Mellie and Joshua.

Saving My Submission can be read as a standalone book though I think you will appreciate it more if you read the other books in the series. And Ms. Jacob included a glimpse of the next book which had my heart beating double time. I guess I’ll just have my hand ready to one-click as soon as it’s available.

Saving My Submission is the fourth book in the Doms of Genesis series and focuses on Mellie Carson, sister to Savannah from book two if you’ve been following the series. Mellie is an independent career woman, an interior designer who travels the world sourcing product and making her high powered clients happy. She heads to Chicago, home of her sister and Club Genesis, on business and meets Joshua Lars, master sculptor. Sparks fly as soon as they lay eyes on each other and a one night stand of epic proportions is born. Joshua knows from this one encounter that Mellie is hiding her true self, burying her submissive needs under a façade for protection. She’s no stranger to the BDSM world, having been hurt irrevocably in a callous display by her previous Dom. She vows never to go back to her old self. I really enjoyed this installment in the Doms of Genesis series. Ms. Jacobs knows how to add the right amount of humor to a story and really make you love her characters. She adds dimension to them in a way that really draws the reader in to their stories. Revisiting a few couples who we’ve met before was so much fun and each became an integral part of the story. Mellie is really very likeable. I could identify with her fears and her longing even if I wanted to hit her over the head for running away from Joshua. He is one romantic Dom, firm but caring, focused on his sub in every way. The sex between then is hot and sensual. The BDSM is on the lighter side, lots of focus on obedience and trust which was a welcome change for me. The suspense plot was extremely well written. It kept me guessing at EVERY turn and I was genuinely surprised by the final outcome! Ms. Jacobs is getting better and better with this series. It’s beautifully romantic while staying true to its D/s lifestyle core. I can’t wait to see the next installment. It promises to be a very emotional ride.

This was a great read, exploring the effects of a bad breakup on a submissive woman. It is the fourth book in the Doms of Genesis series.
Mellie was an independent woman, who had built a life for herself without long term relationships for the past several years. Then she meets Joshua Lair, known at Genesis as Master Stephen, a Dom who brings out her submissive longings. But her previous Dom left her emotionally fragile after humiliating her in a club in Kansas City and she has vowed never to be that vulnerable again.
For his part, Joshua has his own issues, having lost his wife and child in a car crash. Until Mellie, he has never really connected with another sub.
But the attraction between them is too strong to ignore and Joshua vows to help Mellie regain the emotional freedom she has as a submissive. But the Dom who broke up with Mellie is back and wants her back. His threats and vandalism scare her into Joshua’s arms. Can he keep her safe physically and emotionally long enough to prove to her she is safe in her submission.
I liked Mellie. She was a strong woman who wasn’t going to lie down for a stalker and who was willing to let herself be vulnerable again after a bad experience. And other than a couple of times of being an ass, explainable in context, Joshua was the ultimate Dom, loving and protective and willing to do whatever it takes to make Mellie feel safe.
This was an emotional book with some sizzling sex scenes and a surprising plot. Author Jenna Jacobs continues to improve with each book in the series.

The Doms of Genesis has quickly become one of my favorite series. The fourth book, Saving my Submission, was a great addition to the series and did not disappoint. It was just as beautifully written as the previous books and the mix of emotion, action and sex scenes made this a must read for me. I really enjoy the camaraderie between the Doms and subs. Jenna Jacob does a wonderful job of showing how those in the lifestyle are a kind of family. This book gave us the story of Mellie and Joshua. Mellie is the sister of Savannah from the second book and Joshua was a new character or so I thought until some interesting information came to light. When Mellie and Joshua end up in danger, the whole family comes together to ensure their safety. And what a twist! I did not see it coming. But before the danger took over, Jenna had me rolling and snort laughing over a certain butt plug inferno scene. OMG! It was almost too much funny for me. And since this is the fourth book in the series, the other characters’ reactions and dialogue just made it that much funnier for me. This whole book was great from beginning to end. Well, except for the sneak peek of book 5. That has me nervous and a little scared. But I’ll be one clicking that one as soon as its released. In the meantime, if you enjoy books of the BDSM variety with a stellar cast of characters and the perfect blend of emotion, humor and suspense then this is a series to read for you.

The story of Joshua and Mellie is so heart warming, its just a wonderful book. I truly enjoyed Mellie, his strength and her determination is overwhelming. I would be proud to call her my sister any day of the week. Josh is wonderful as well. He is kind and caring strong, and way way super hot and sexy!

Meillie has lost her will to submit. Mellie was very active in the DBSM world, until a dom took her collar and her heart away, and she has decided that she is going to give up the lifestyle so she can put her past behind her. But staying with her sister and spending a wonderful night with a super sexy man she is starting to second guess her decision.

Joshua is a Dom at the club, who has had a rough time finding a sub that fits into his life. Someone he can hold and protect and care for in and outside of the lifestyle. Joshua had has a rough few years and is still getting over a terrible loss. can he find his lost sub? Read and find out. You wont be disappointed!

I enjoyed this series so much and all the books had something new and different to offer us, plus keeping your favorite characters from past book updated in their new lives as well!

This is the fourth in the series, and I would recommend that you read the previous three to get context - although it is a very good book in its own right.

Even though I had just read the previous books, I was for brief while confused as to the characters in the first chapter. However, it all becomes much clearer and the reveal is highly entertaining. The story is an interesting mix of drama and personal discovery. I think it worked really well, and will be putting this on my reread list, as it has some very poignant as well as some very steamy scenes.

Great story - looking forward to who gets their turn next (I was right on the money this time, even if I didn't see it at the beginning, lol!)

There were so many amazing things in this book.

This book was just stunning. The action and adventure in this one made me feel as if I was right there. Everyone had a part to play and when there is a lot of characters in one time it is often hard to tell who is who but Jenna did a fantastic job. It was sexy scorching even! Master… Errr… Joshua sets the pages on fire with his Dominance and when the bratty sub challenges that well it certainly heats up!

Overall this book is freaking fantastic and if you don’t like it… well you are a dipshitiot. (I didn’t spell it wrong. Read the book and find out what it means ;))

Freaking amazing again.

Jenna never disappoints me. I was blown away again by the story and the passion in the book. I was so swept up in this story I didn't even see the ending coming. which I might add is mind blowing. after reading the book though I came to tears. the next story it of Trevor and "daddy". the Excerpt given had me yelling no........I was crying for Trevor. If you haven't read Jacobs books start with book 1 they are a great group of friends from Club Geniuses and every story is worth the read. Enjoy.

Loved this book and this series!! Your a dipshitiot if you don't- inside book joke!! The Doms of Genesis books, where the doms are hot with issues and the subs are sassy, fierce, smart and real (nit all size 2 barbie doll looking) and able to provide protection for their men. I'll call this a 3.5 star read.
Not my favorite in this series thus far.
I was a tidbit bored for about 40%. Once the suspense factor kicked in it held my attention better.
Mellie came across as bitchy and it turned me off and made it difficult for me to sympathize with her.
I disliked some of the terminology used. For instance, "oozing" is not a sexy word, no sentence structure will change that fact 🤢.

Jenna Jacob is a new author to me and one who I am so happy to say I am honored to have come across. Reading and reviewing her books has truly been a joy to me. Rarely do you come across an author who can captivate her readers the way she has done with this series. Her ability to develop not only the characters but the scenes on the pages of her books is a true testament to her unique writing ability.
I want to say that this review is somewhat out of character for me as I am reviewing all four books together. Each book is so brilliantly written and full of such great dimension that it can be read as a stand along, However, when you combine it with the large overall picture you are presented with one amazing story that unfolds in the pages of this series with Jenna Jacob bringing each and every character to life and created such a wonderful story line. With that said here we go.............
Book 1 - Embracing My Submission.
Main characters are:
Julianna a CPA by day, a trained submissive, "Emerald", by night. While she tries to fill her submissive desires vicariously through interaction at Genesis, a private BDSM club, she attempts to convince herself that it is enough. But is it? She hungers to be owned and for a certain Master that visits her in her dreams.
Mika LaBrache, Genesis aloof owner, aka the Great and Powerful Oz, who battles with his emotions and feelings since the loss of his beloved slave.
Drake "Daddy Drake" The muscle bound, leather clad gay dominant protector and mentor of Emerald.
OK - get ready for a jaw dropping story line and one very bumpy rollercoaster ride.
Now I never give anything away when I write a review...BUT let's just say that you embark on the story of Julianna finding Julianna. The drama throughout is nail biting and the love scenes so touching. I cried, I laughed, I actually turned off my Kindle and walked away I was so upset at one part (You will know what part when you get there). You will get to see the really bratty "Emerald" emerge at times, there is a sadistic animal disguised as a Dom who appears, one very traumatic assault that brings Mika to the forefront, a fight which leaves one Dom with a fatal gunshot wound, a desperate and frantic Mika who struggles with his demons, a irate Daddy Drake who is duped by a fellow Dom, you will be right there with Emerald as she struggles to deal with her slave issues. And then to top it all off we have this dazzling love story filled with passion and sorrow. Loved this book.
Book 2 - Masters of My Desire
So in book two we are reintroduced to three players were read briefly about in book 1. We actually go back in time to how they meet and come full circle back to Genesis again.
We have:
Savannah Carson, a closet submissive who reads about BDSM but is too shy and insecure to ever live out her fantasy. Losing her parents at 16 has left her closed off, afraid of commitment and fearful of losing another person she loves.
Nick Masters - Native American who oozes the alpha male dominance. His previous marriage ended in a bitter breakup with his money hunger bitch of a wife, which has left him gun shy and weary of commitment.
Dylan Thomas - sexy blue eyed, ex-Marine sniper who witnessed horrible things during his tour abroad. He struggles daily to deal with his demons from his past.
SO - We start out with Savanna plowing her SUV into "Bambi" on the way to a planned vacation with her only sister. She is rescued by two gorgeous men (inseparable best sharing friends) who swoop in to save the day. A freak snow storm has shut down the airport and Savanna's sister is unable to make it on their vacation. Stranded with two hot dominate men Savanna has her dreams of all dreams come true when the two - yes the two hot Dom's offer to teach her the joys of submission. She swallows her fears and goes for it.
OK that is all I give you here. But....Boy -oh-boy....what a wonderful journey this story takes you on.......I didn't think that Jenna Jacob could top the first book - I stand corrected. She has created such mind blowing characters that just pop on the pages of this book. Her ability to use her knowledge of the BDSM brings this pulsating and electrifying story of Dylan, Nick and Savannah to life. It is one of the best, if not the best, written ménage à trois I have ever read.. AND to added even more enjoyment to this book Jenna brings back our beloved friends of Genesis from book 1 by masterfully intertwining them in the pages of this book. Great job!


Book 3 - Master of My Mind
In book 3 we start out with the shocking death of Master George and the total downward spiral of his beloved sub Leagh. Her world is shattered and George's ex-wife and daughter set out on a course to destroy her starting with their attempt to have her barred from his funeral.
Key players in this 3rd installment in the Dom's of Genesis series are:
Leagh - We were introduced to Leagh in book 1 with her master, George. She is the brat of the club, years younger than George and the oh so very un-submissive submissive at the club.
Tony Delvaggio, the panty-melting Sadist, Dungeon Monitor and resident shrink at Genesis who has watched the little brat, as he calls her, from afar for several years.
Leagh unable to deal with all the emotional pain, no money, no home, nothing, shuts down completely. Her friends at Genesis are worried about her so Tony steps in and takes it upon himself to take care of Leagh. He makes sure she has a place to stay, and someone to talk to.
Drama - OMG the drama in this book is outstanding. Sit up and pay attention drama unfolds. Secrets come to light that can destroy Leagh and Tony. Leagh past catches up with her, death and destruction ensue. Everything Leagh thought she knew about George is questioned. Can she put her trust in the Sadist and allow him to help her heal? Will George's family destroy her? You have got to read this one. And once again Jenna Jacob manages to intertwine my favorite Genesis family members into this story effortlessly. Awesome work!
Book 4 - Saving My Submission
In book 4 we are introduced to Mellie Carson and Joshua Lars and we all get to go back to our beloved Genesis and the friends we have come to love...
Mellie is the smart career-oriented woman who doesn’t do long-term relationships. Once active in the DBSM world, that was until a Dom took her collar and her heart away. Now jaded she has buried her true inner submissive.
Joshua is a Dom at Genesis who has had a rough time finding a sub that fits into his life. The lost of his wife and daughter haunts him so that he has pulled away from his passion as an artist and seems lost in time.
They meet at the first showing of Joshua's art in quite some time. He is immediately drawn to her and her to one of his delicate sculptures....... ..and so this story begins. The pages of this book vibrate with the intense sexual prowess that Jenna brings to life with Joshua and Mellie. The drama is intense, so very intense. The BDSM scenes superbly written and the overall dynamics of this love story are like no other.
Can Joshua tame the fiercely independent woman who has buried her submissive side? Will Mellie allow her sleeping submissive to be awaken at the hands of Joshua? Trust is tested, the past resurfaces. Will fate and a killer at large destroy them? Can their friends be trusted? Will they heal and repair each other?
Side note- In this book more than the other three there are some amazingly funny parts (bridal shower being one) to this story and we again get to revisit our beloved friends at Genesis. Drake, Trevor, Mika, Julianna, Dylan, Savanna, Nick, Leagh and Tony all grace the pages of Saving My Submission and we do get closure to some parts that have been left open ended in the previous 3 books.

SO - now I have touched on the first 4 books of the Genesis series and to use a term from baseball..........The bases are loaded (1st is Embracing My Submission, 2nd has Masters of My Desire and 3rd is Master of My Mind) Jenna Jacob come up to bat with Saving My Submission. She swings and she does it!!! (I'm screaming here) Home Run - bases loaded - A GRAND SLAM!!!!
Each and every book is a 5 STAR winner in its own right but the series in total is one Grand SLAM. You will not be disappointed in reading any or all of the books in this series and I highly recommend you read all four. Great job Jenna Jacobs.
Next book in the series? Trevor and Drake??

This is the forth book in the series and they need to be read in order. Mellie is a strong independent woman. Mellie is also Savannah’s older sister. As you know from book two Mellie has some experience with submission herself. She comes to Chicago to visit her sister and to attend an art showing for a client. While attending Mellie meets the artist and has an evening with him. Only it’s not just sex he sees her submission inside of her. Something happened to make Mellie push down her submissiveness. Joshua Lars the artist isn’t willing to just let Mellie go. He is going to help her and make her shine. All is going well until Mellie is being stalked from someone from her past. Joshua and well and her sister and brothers in law are worried about what trouble could be coming for Mellie. Will they be able to protect Mellie from whoever is after her? I had read this book before but was re-reading the whole series before reading the ones I hadn’t read yet in the series. I love getting to read about Mellie. After reading a bit about her in Savannah’s book I was so happy that she was getting her own book. Mellie had a bit to overcome before so could consider being a submissive again. Sometimes you just need to find the right Dom to help you try again. Joshua and Mellie are fantastic characters. Their story isn’t all smooth sailing. In fact, there is a lot of rough seas. But, they share a great love. I love all the books in this series and can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.

This is the 4th book in the series and it just keep getting better and better. I love that we get to catch up with the other couples and threesomes from the previous books and also what's going on with the members of Club Genesis.

Mellie, Savannah's older sister, is a very independent woman who doesn't believe in commitments. She comes Chicago to acquire some sculptures for a client and to visit her sister and her 2 dominants. While visiting her sister, she attend Savannah's friend's bachelorette party and wedding. I laughed so hard at the antics and disaster that happened at the bachelorette party.

The artists that created the sculptures she is acquiring for her client is the reclusive Joshua Lars. Joshua had lost his wife and daughter in a tragic accident a few years back and became a recluse. She is very attracted to Joshua and they had what she thought was a one night stand. Mellie runs out on Joshua after Joshua thinks she is a submissive. Mellie had been hurt by a want a be dominant a when she was younger and left the life.

This story is about Mellie's journey to find her true self and Joshua's journey to move on with his life. They both find themselves by being with each other and getting to know each other. Then Mellie is in danger from a stalker and Joshua is determined to keep her safe. Will they find out who the stalker is and will Mellie and Joshua find love?

I love this entire series and enjoy each story but also being able to find out what is happening with everyone in the Genesis family. Can't wait to read the next book!

I'd like to start off by saying...WOW. Jenna Jacob knows BDSM and knows it well. There are so many BDSM books out there at the moment. I’ve
read quite a few and I have to say that this series completely blew me away. The
author combines wicked hot sex with the perfect amount of suspense to create an
intense look into the lives of several couples at Club Genesis. I believe this
is how BDSM should be portrayed…with a healthy exchange of power between
partners. The relationships between these subs and their Doms are absolutely
beautiful. Obviously, they aren’t perfect…but that's just it: I love how each couple grows and
overcomes their issues. That is what sets this series apart from other books
in this genre. 

I'm going to do this review a little different. I'm going to give you a couple things I liked/disliked about each book in the series and then share a teaser containing my favorite quote from each...

What intrigued me the most about this book was the dynamic of Club Genesis and the relationships between all of the characters. They're like one big freaky family and I love it! 

In Embracing My Submission, Emerald and Mika had me so wrapped up in their world I never wanted to leave. The sex was intense and the passion between these two had me on the edge of my seat! The only issue I had was a bit of confusion about the "dreams" Emerald was having. I found myself checking to see whether or not this book had paranormal elements. Once the reason behind them was revealed and my questions were answered...I literally melted. Overall, this was a fantastic start to an incredible series.

Holy Hot Menage!



Nick Masters and Dylan Thomas are two Doms with extremely different personalities. Together they make the perfect Dom for Savannah Carson. These boys are honestly my favorite characters out of the whole series! There wasn't a thing I didn't enjoy about their story.

Master of My Mind was honestly a bit of a tear jerker for me from the very beginning. Leagh's story was an emotional roller coaster. She had so many things thrown at her, one after another. That's what I loved most about this story: the fact that the heroine was such a strong character despite so many people in her life trying to bring her down. The only issue I had was with the hero, Tony. I couldn't quite connect with him as an individual. I did feel the connection between Tony and Leagh as a couple though.

Saving My Submission is Mellie's story She's Savannah's sister from book two. This chick is hell on wheels! She's a fiesty little sub that gives Dom, Joshua Lars, a run for his money. This story was packed with drama and suspense. It was so different from the first three books. Mellie fights her submission every step of the way and lands herself in some hot water. 

I absolutely loved the banter between these two and the struggle the big, bad Dom has with taming Mellie's attitude and helping her find herself.

I felt like the conclusion was a bit rushed, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Other than that I enjoyed the direction the author took and I can't wait to read the next book.

Book 4 in the Doms of Genesis series, but it can be read as a standalone.

I love Jenna’s style of writing. It is very descriptive and poetic. It is beautiful to read. This book focuses more on the emotional side of submission then that there are actual scenes. I loved how this book gave a real insight into the Submissive mind.

It is about second chances and opening yourself to a new opportunity.

It was a wonderful sensual read.

I just loved Millie!! She made me cry a few times. Seems she had trouble finding her True self for a while. I loved Joshua!! He found the parts she had hidden. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. I recommend all the series.
