When you’re the new guy in a family of heavy hitters, life doesn’t always seem to be in your control. Tyse McCallan proceeds with caution, even though his arrival has been accepted—for the most part—positively. Of course the media has taken special interest in him, but Tyse wants no part in the fame game. He spends his time with family members that share his same approach to life while focusing on running a new recording studio.
Lucky for him, he’s also got a gorgeous business neighbor a few doors down. Sarah Douglas is smart, witty, and sweet, but she suddenly develops a very strong aversion to him. Tyse knows it has to do with discovering his last name, but he’s determined to change her opinion of him.
Tyse has always fought through his hardships and come out on top, believing you should always forgive quickly and move forward. This time his beliefs are fully challenged, and now he has to trudge through McCallan secrets that could make him question why he came looking for his family in the first place…
Besides books, I love music, dance, sports, and sunshine. I love live music and love going to concerts. Doesn't tell you much, but you'll learn way more about me from social media or my blog site!
My writing: I don't write short stories. I'd rather have one full story instead of turning it into two. I believe in order to build a relationship with a book, it takes time to get to know it. I like my characters to be well-developed. I like the story to show rather than tell. I like my heroes to have integrity and my heroines to be strong. Just as importantly, I like them to have a sense of humor. I believe in adversity because it is a natural part of life, and I like my characters to learn that as well. And I definitely *prefer* happily ever afters!
I really enjoyed the book but I was really hoping we world see a new side to Max. I thought those three were going to start being more family oriented especially after showing up to family events and Mel going to grandpa's house in the last book but I have lost complete faith in the Der two. I'm just hoping Max finds a way to redeem himself.
Yay, I was so excited for the third book in The McCallan Series and Author Hadley Quinn did not let me down!
5 Stars is the most I can give, but the series is worth a million more!
Only This is Tyse's story. You really get to know who HE is and the type of guy he is. He is AMAZING and every girls dream man. I am really happy with his characteristics and morals. He is just one of the McCallan men and you will not want to miss out on his story.
Only This really brought the characters together and a lot of background behind some of the family drama. HOLY CRAP! I can't believe it, but you shouldn't be surprised kind of thing. You know?? This family just keeps taking hits, but you know who your true family is and that should never go unnoticed.
Another great part of the story is that the characters from the previous books are still part of this book. You still get enough of Teague, Jay, Camryn, Kelly and even the crazy nasty talking bird.
Don't miss out another great story!
I am looking forward to what Author Hadley Quinn brings us next! She is amazing!
The gang is back, and energized, Tyse he's a real sweetheart, he comes off as a total bada** but he's so caring, "I'd rather you just tell me what happened, Sarah. I'll take you home if that's what you want, but please tell me what I did wrong." Sarah that girl is perfect for Tyse she can be a little tease which is actually a great thing for our boy, "but when her hand pressed against his growing erection and he could feel her tongue against his neck, the car somehow drifted over the divider bumps between the lanes. "I said don't crash," she whispered again as she lightly bit his neck below his ear." Also they're at ease with each other which is a great thing for a relationship, so at ease that Sarah starts talking about his member, "Tyse couldn't help but laugh again. "Are you referring to my d*** as the Mayflower?" I'm getting sad because we're kinda running out of family members to read about, but at least we still have Kelli to look forward to.
That was rather disappointing. It's so weird because I loved the first Two books in this series. It fell flat for me because it lacked the humor. It just felt stiff and slow. It sucks because I really liked Tyse in book two.
I loved this book. It gripped me from the beginning and didn't let go. I loved getting to know the couple in this book and getting to more about the family and members of it that I have grown to love most of them since the first book. This is my favorite so far in the series. It is a book 3 but can be read as a stand alone. If you haven't read the previous 2 you will want to go back and read those as well.
ok so this was my least favorite. I do not like Sarah's attitude and how any man can find that attractive is beyond me. I was not able to finish this book as I just was getting so annoyed. Moving on......
There was no doubt in my mind that I would love Tyse’s book. He’s a lot like Teague and Jay, but with less of an attitude. His outlook on life and forgiveness is pretty epic and I would love to say that I could follow his ways, but I’m not sure I’m that big of a person. I loved the way he was with his newly found family members and I was really excited to see that everyone is back. We even get to meet Melanie and Jay’s little boy. And the way all three of the McCallan men are around that baby just makes them even more ridiculously swoonworthy.
Because a McCallan man is hot and great and amazing, but their woman makes them even better, I was eager to meet Tyse’s love interest and I was not disappointed at all. Sarah is so great. She’s strong, independent and feisty as hell. Her backstory with the McCallan family is pretty convoluted, but so not surprising from Neil, Max and Craig. Max is a douche of epic proportions and we kind of learn why in this book. I don’t feel bad for him, the way I probably should, but I can’t forget all of the horrible things he’s done since his defining moment.
Tyse finally gets a taste of the McCallan garbage that Teague and Jay have been warning him about. Really, all of those guys (Neil, Max and Craig) should be drawn and quartered for their stunts. They make me beyond angry and I hope that somehow they get what’s coming to them. Maybe in the next book…perhaps Kellie finds love? That poor girl deserves something after dealing with her cousin’s and brother’s drama. I am absolutely a fan of this series, of Hadley Quinn and I will not hesitate to one-click whatever she puts out next.
I have been constantly checking my Goodreads waiting for this book to come out. Finally we get the much anticipated story of Tyse.
Tyse is the bastard McCallan having moved to Cali after leaving his cheating ex-fiancé behind in Arizona to get to know his brother and sister that he never knew about. He goes into business with his grandfather and ends up crossing paths with a Sarah Douglas who owns the flower shop down the street.
Sarah Douglas has a much earned hatred of the McCallans. Slowly and with the help of his brother and sister and their cousin Tyse is able to convince Sarah that he isn't like the rest of his family. Unfortunately for both of them the rest of his family doesn't think that they need to be together and go about trying to tear them apart. Luckily Tyse isn't the type of guy to give up easily and isn't willing to let Sarah go without a fight.
In the past two books I really wanted to hate Max and unfortunately in this book we get a sneak peek in to why he is the worlds biggest douche. Hopefully the next book will be his story and he wisen up to his douche ways.
Overall this book was definitely a great read I just wasn't able to give it four stars because I found myself skipping some of the internal dialogue because it seemed to really drag at some points.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one just couldn't hold my interest. I kept putting it down to read other things. The most obvious thing that was missing was the humor. I laughed a lot during the first two books, not really at all in this one.
Tyse intrigued me in Jay's book, and he's a nice, sweet, GOOD guy, but just not as interesting as I thought.
Sarah was exasperating. She hates Tyse once she learns who his family is, and the book was more than half over before they even go on a date! And her reasons for hating his family were so lame, all because of her drama queen sister?
The situation with the paparazzi was so weird, why would they follow around non-famous people just because of their relatives? I don't see Brad Pitt's siblings being followed everywhere. It didn't make sense. And the subplot with Anna didn't really go anywhere.
I did like seeing the characters from the other books again. Hopefully this book is an aberration, and the next will be as good as the first two.
Such a beautiful story with two beautiful characters who were willing to both fight for what they wanted. Tyse is definitely one of the sweetest heroes. I want Kellie's story so bad. And after this book I almost dislike Max a little less.
I loved getting more background on the McCallan family and seeing the strong bond that has formed between Tyse, Jay, Kellie, and Teague. I a, still holding out hope for Max, well now that I have learned a little of history. I have faith he is going to snap out of his clouded view of his father and grandfather.
I love this series! I want more of these characters and some more babies!!!!
This is definitely a keeper. Even though it's a stand alone I really recommend reading the first two books beforehand. the length of the story was great (I'm getting sick of reading small quick reads not worth the money or even worse the installment stories). I think the best part is that the previous characters are in this also. I didn't feel as emotionally attached to this as the other two but overall still great! I hope there's another story in the making....maybe Brandon's :)
3.75 Stars for me. I enjoyed to book but it lacked the charm of the first two. It greatly improved in the last few chapters but the book was a bit too introspective for me. I missed the humor and the banter that the first two had for me. The characters were wonderful but the charmed that was there for the main characters was forced until the end. Still a great book in the series and a series I will continue to read.
Only This, Tyse & Sarah's story, may be my favorite of the series! Their relationship isn't easy, per se, but their openness & honesty right from the beginning is. And Tyse's heart - *swoon*!!! I loved watching their relationship develop & enjoyed both their personalities. Super fun read!! : )
The relationship between Tyse and Sara was too rushed. There wasn't the beautiful build up that Camryn and Teague and Jay and Melanie had. It's as if this book was just filler.
Also Tyse and Sara don't have much chemistry. The relationship is built on their mutual dislike/hate/distrust of the McCallans.
Tyse and Sarah's story was worth the wait. They show you that you have to choose what exactly you want in your life, or who exactly you want in your life. I love how at some point everyone's story is continued in this book. Great writing as always.
