Fearless Curves

Rate this book
Brandy isn't unhappy. She's got a decent job working as an assistant lawyer for an ex-con defense attorney. She's got a nice condo in Las Vegas. She's a nice girl living up to everyone's expectations. Brandy isn't entirely satisfied with her life, but she's getting by. However, all that gets turned upside-down when she meets her new client, Jack.

Jack's a biker, and an arrogant one at that, who likes to be called Rogue. He immediately takes a liking to Brandy and her lush body but he scares the daylights out of her. But it's not his tough demeanor and his legal troubles that frighten her. It's the way he makes her feel, like she wants to do bad things, like she wants to get into trouble, like she can't resist Jack and will end up doing whatever he wants.

But after a night of wild, frenzied passion, Brandy is confused by her feelings for the sexy biker and kicks him to the curb. She complains to a friend but instead of sympathy Brandy gets a shocking pep talk and some outrageous object lessons about life. Brandy learns that not being unhappy isn't the same as being happy. That living in fear of being judged by others isn't how to live her life. But can Brandy win back Jack and push aside her doubts? Can Brandy learn to be fearless?

DNF at 40-ish%. I just can't..

The plot's intriguing, really. About a curvy and quiet woman meeting a big, bad biker and then he sweep her off her feet. Pretty good, eh?

But the thing is, I find D.H. Cameron's style of writing flat, a little bit confusing and jumpy. By jumpy I mean the description of 'feeling' is jumping around from one point to another. The heroine's a lawyer, she's a classy woman, quiet and quite introvert (she said so herself) yet she let the Hero, the biker, cal her 'dirty whore', 'fat ass', even 'slut'. I was like, girl sure he's handsome and all but where's your dignity?

I don't like it. I just don't. Sure at some point I like to read about degrading Hero but not this early. I want to read about alpha biker not a jerk who so full of himself.

The heroine too, she's not that likable. She's constantly rejecting the Hero yet she still come as soon as he flicks his fingers. I don't get it. This author tries to write smoothly about curvy and chubby woman, but personally to me she didn't make it. Shame. I'd love to read BBW story.

So yeah, overall I don't really like this book. Could be so much better.

I refuse to rate a book I didn't finish unless the writing is that horrible...in this case it turns out I found the words "fat", "whore", "bitch" endlessly used both alone and in combination decidedly NOT hot. Made it through the first sex scene and returned the book.

Really had a few laughs with this one! The predicaments Brandy finds herself in were interesting...wet t-shirt contest, dancing on bar tops, screwing a biker senseless! All things she didn’t expect to love but did!

I enjoyed this raunchy romp!

This is a story about Brandy (a lawyer) who hooks up with her client (Jack).

It's crass, disgusting and a bad porn story masquerading as a short story. The only reason I read it was because it was part of a box set. I should have just skipped it.

Brandy and Jack were really truly an unlikely pair. Brandy is an assistant attorney to Vic a lawyer who is middle aged. He has a shaved head, a beard, and tattoos on his chest and arms. Since he works out regularly you couldn’t really tell his age and since his ex-stripper wife, from here on the Vegas strip, go at it like rabbits well…
Vic became a lawyer after serving time back in the 1990’s for some robberies, and got his degree from Texas A & M. For the most part he has gone straight. But, he defends some shady characters that really walk the lines of society. But, never anything for major crimes. For anything that they are sure guilty.
Vic and his wife are due to go on vacation so Brandy is due to take her first case by herself. Jack Anker’s an illegal search on a traffic stop for a licensed concealed weapon. For which he had been coming from the firing range. Being that he is a biker with tats that is why he was stopped. Vic and she are due to meet with him on Friday at 3:30. That time does work for them both, but Vic ends up leaving early so she meets him alone.
In fact when she gets back from lunch he’s sitting in the lobby of the office waiting. Not good though since she locked the door before she left. When she asked how he got in he basically said, “I picked it.” From the moment she walked in his gray eyes were mentally undressing her. All through the review of the case he flirted. She liked it as much as she hated to admit it. She was afraid of him or rather his type. She had this over whelming feeling knowing he wouldn’t hurt her and he turned her on. Once they finished discussing his case he asked her out. You will have to read it to find out how this BBW and this Biker Bad Boy fair.
I enjoyed this story for the most part very much. It has a story of a young lawyer who is reaching beyond her comfort zone to find her happiness not what everyone else wants or what she thinks they want.
You have to be aware although this is a very short story it has strong sexual content, strong language, and the last sex scene was too rough for my liking but was over quickly, thank goodness. Different strokes and all. I give this 4 stars.

This is the second book by this author. I didn't rate the first book as I didn't get very far. I thought I would try another book by this author hoping for a better read. I was disappointed. Some people appeared to hate some of the language. Didn't bother me really and, yes, I too am a large sized girl. I am not a writer, so This is just my opinions, but this writers style is distracting and hard to read. I hate being to appear rude in a review so I am sorry if I offend this writer's fans, but word selections for sexual acts and body parts feel juvenile. It feels like a thirty year old having sex but trying to describe it with teenager type words. It is hard to explain.

Sadly, this wasn't that entertaining, I finished the book so I felt ok writing a review. I have read plenty of books that are simple easy reads with no real angst or complication, so that does not turn me off of reading a particular book. There is always an occasion for those easy feel good reads, but those books have an easy flow. Those books feel entertaining. I had to make myself read this book.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

After reading this book and giving myself time to digest the story - here are my thoughts:

The author is fearless in writing about taboo liasions with LGBT adults as well as those who refuse to define themselves (Bravo)!
D.H. Cameron writes these liaisons with unconditional support for her characters in truly erotic ways with lots of humor.
Because the characters are well fleshed out; the crazy antics are seamless and in rhythm with the plot of the book.

I agree with another reviewer in that face slapping just does not work for me nor does the the "you're my bi$*ch" or "you're my Daddy" talk.
I felt like the plot got lost sometimes in between the many sexual encounters with the large cast of characters.

Having said that adults curious about or wholly into erotic romance with some kink are gonna love this story, the characters and the plot of this book.

Fearless Great

I deeply enjoyed Jack and Brandy exotic relationship. she. was a shell of a woman to accept a date from a client that she was actually scared of. she ended up learning more about herself and want she wanted out of her life. it was missing something but she didn't quite know what until it snuck up on her. she became not only fearless but found out more than she bargained for. Jack is an arrogant ass, and not in a good way, and even coming from a bad boy biker, repeated offers to go "get fucked up" just aren't charming.
Plus this story had more spelling and grammatical errors than the rest of the box set.

Wow!

Wow!

I loved this book! I loved how it had a straight laced curvy girl and a bad boy tattooed biker. it was great to see how she evolved into the woman she actually is. we all get excited by a tattooed bad boy hoping to be corrupted. I married mine so I completely get brandy. I look forward to the next books in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. It was really great watching Brandy let go and find herself. Not living for others, but beginning to live for herself. Loved her being a curvy girl too. Jack is a great bad boy character that makes no excuses for how or whom he is and Brandy has to work through this but what a ride it is. Loved and would definitely recommend.

I received an ARC copy of this book. I like the story, a big women who finds herself and isn't afraid to live. There's a lot of hot sex in this story which is all good, but it is a bit crude. Jack is an intriguing character and I think Butch is just as intriguing and hope he gets a story.

Loved the blurb and cover but this became a DNF for me. A bit repetitive and a lot of "I don´t like this but .. " from the heroine.

I was given the honor of reading and reviewing for an awesome author. OMG. What a way for the story to proceed. Loved how Jack and Brandy got together and how sometimes opposites do attract.

A nice bit of fluff. Doesn't inspire me to seek out more from this author but wasn't a bad way to spend the afternoon either.

I liked the storyline as far as self-discovery goes but the sex wasn't my cup of tea and the absolutely degrading way Brandy gets treated by Jack.
