Q. Do you have a dream? If so, how did you find it? And what do you do in order to come true your dream?

A. Yes. I have a dream to be an elementary school teacher. Last year, I went to a special school as internship, and when I communicated with elementary school students, I enjoyed talking to them. Therefore, I'm interested in teaching at elementary school. And now, I go to Nagakute Minami Elementary School every Friday. It is very fun and children are really cute♥ So, this motivates me very much. Even if I have to face a lot of difficulty, I wanna be a teacher!

We read the beginning of this book. I was really impressed with a sentence, 'His next sentence changed my life forever. "Maybe, sir, one day you will come back with books."' (page 4) When I looked at this, I remembered the sentence that changed my life. When I was working at a cram school, I had a student who was a boy and in the fifth grade of elementary school. He was very cute and honest, so I took care of him very hard. One day, he said to me, "Your class is always interesting for me. Thank you for nice class." This words changed me. This was a first opportunity to think of my future. Therefore, I want everyone to read this book!

I read this book long time no see, so I reread from the beginning!

Q. When you apply for a job, what is most important term?
A. My most important term is the content of the job and atmosphere at the workplace!
Even if I can receive a lot of money, I cannot continue the job unless I like the job very much!

Finally, I read this book!!!
I think our dreams come true if we do not give up!:-)
I really respect people who can do whatever they want because it is difficult to do whatever we want and earn money.
I mean we have to do various things that we do not want to do in order to get money!!!

An entrepreneur’s odyssey to educate the world’s children

I have attended a number of events for Room to Read (Beers for Books) and the scope of this charity has always impressed me. The reader version gave only a slight idea of how John Wood went about setting up this organization and it would nice to read the full version.

This is a great story, but I think some of the sections cut out from the original should have been left in. Still inspirational, just missing some of the emotion.

This book was exciting to read from the perspective of successes in the developing world and with funders, but I felt like it was a bit too focused on the fundraising successes.
