Volume 8 mostly focuses on Erich taking two young adventurers under his wing and forming a party. He basically traumatizes and trains up his first male friend. It was fine overall but I thought the climactic adventure was a bit boring. The alternate future presented in the side story (Henderson) was full of everyone's regret and felt mostly improbable; it was one of my least favorites.
Erich's story as an adventurer continues, this time a few traditional ones in that of caravan duty and dungeon exploring. As always, I like the characters and love the world building. The final chapter (the one before the Henderson) was very entertaining. I do miss the addition of new monster girls a bit, but that is a fairly minor complaint. All in all, a great read.
