Astounding, ambitious, and ancient. I've now read 2 versions; if you're not a fan of war, I recommend the one collected/translated by Yei Ozaki... it's kinder and gentler :)
I did not really like this story. It is story about pregnant crab that was starving to death and saw a fruit on ground but monkey grab it and eat it front of her eyes. She was hungry and sad and only what she get was a seed from this fruit. She plant it on earth and waited for it to grow as it did. Tree was full of fruits but she could not eat it again so mean monkey come again and eat in front of her and just laughted. She died and her 2 crab children were born. The life porpuse was to get revenge on her poor mother. They made friend who hated that monkey and together even if they were week they killed monkey.
It kind of is telling you if you have bully than you need to killl it, become a bully yourself. So I that is one of reason why I do not like this story.
This book is a story about a monkey and a crab who fight over fruit. It becomes very violent. The crabs create an army and eventually kill the monkey. However, I did not like it because it was very vicious and explained it all in detail and I do not think that it would be appropriate for children to read.
A wild story about retributive justice. This has to be the weirdest, craziest, most bizarre fairy tale I have ever come across. It's a fast, enjoyable read with pictures too. Highly recommended.
