The 1998 Teaching Company’s Prof Timothy Taylor’s 48 “Contemporary Economic Issues” lectures are exceptionally well done. The lectures provide an important understanding of how postmodernism and Keynesian economic theories influence social capitalism from the late 1940s thru the 1990’s. Taylor’s presentations on China, Russia, India, and Latin American economics were especially helpful for understanding how American global economic policies developed over the past 25 years. Each lecture is 30 minutes long. (L)

It's a course of economics prepared in the 90s, when people thought that deregulation can only do good and deregulating banking will bring great savings to everyone. An interesting look into how most economists thought back then.

This is an extremely long audio lecture set and it's Awesome. Timothy Taylor's way of explaining things is very easy to digest and enables you to get a lot out of the series.

Interesting topics, but it was made in the late 90's, and the contemporary economic issues are not so contemporary any more. Find something newer.
