I bought this for my mom, but I read through it. It was a nice refresher and a good reminder of some things, even touching on stuff I didn't pay attention to or hadn't learned as a kid. It made me VERY grateful that I learned this young, in school, and took piano lessons. Realized that the music education that I had in school was actually very good and really helpful--again very thankful I don't have to sit down and learn this as an adult.

Also I like that now that I am an adult I have realized that music is just math (some of it being very complicated math) and that my hobbies all have underlying math principles to them 💀

This is a pretty basic book, and there is always more to learn about this. Great job Marc, I'll check out your other books 🤣

If you are looking on how to read music, the history, and what is involved with playing music, this is a good book. I bought it to help me with my singing, however it’s not very good for that. It did remind me of some of the terms of music but not all.
