Using the lessons of Noah's ark, Michael Levine, founder and owner of Levine Communications, based in Los Angeles, offers a lighthearted approach to the serious business of taking stock, taking control, and transforming calamity into opportunity. Lessons include "Don't Miss the The Lesson of Opportunity," "Stay The Lesson of Healthy Balance," and "Stay True to Your The Lesson of Character," and more.
Interesting concept for a book, 7 Lessons from Noah's Ark takes a somewhat humorous look at what we can learn from the biblical story of Noah's Ark to apply to our lives today. It includes topics likeDon't Miss the Boat (take advantage of opportunities presented); Stay Shipshape (benefits of maintaining your health); Staying True to your Course (Keeping with your core character); and more. It is a short read and I found it to be entertaining and it does make some good points.
While I enjoyed the listen I had to thin that the treatment of serious subjects seemed a bit shallow - perhaps inevitable when you make a work as short as this one is - just over an hour.
I enjoyed the narrators' rather snarky reading and the many quotes. However, from a Christian point of view, God gets regulated to co-pilot and the scriptures gets twisted to support the author's ideas. I wish Mr. Levine had left Noah and the Old Testament out of the story, or done a more thorough reading of it!
If you want to read a list of platitudes and vague pieces of life advice loosely based on the biblical story of Noah's Ark, then this is for you. Seriously, so stupid. The best part was that it was short.
