Wilbur Smith's Assegai and Michael Koryta's Envy Night were barely passable and I struggled through those two books in this Reader's Digest Select Edition combination of fours books. I'd have given two stars to those books individually

The other two books, "La's Orchestra Saves The World" and "The Various Flavours of Coffee" were better reads and account for pulling up the overall score to three stars (2.5 stars would be more suitable but Goodreads does not allow partial stars)
