There Is Only One Rule
It's no secret I have referred to Ms. Bolling as my favorite author and she has never disappointed me. With that being said, she has brought the “ohh wee” again with this latest release. As always, we see some strong African American men and independent women who are strong enough to realize they need love in their lives. While this a standalone book (a spinoff) I suggest you read 'Night Of Seduction/Heaven’s Gate' first to truly appreciate the characters.
We first meet Tyrone Pendleton and Kendra 'KiKi' Simmons as minor characters. Now they are front and center and someone is out to hurt KiKi. Ty has yet to come to terms with the fact that he can't have KiKi on his terms. None of that matters as he will do anything to keep her safe. We learn a lot more about the family background of these two while getting updates on Eric 'Silk' Davies along with wife Siri, Jason Davies and his wife TK. With rogue CIA operatives, CIA agents and Secret Service gracing the pages, there are no dull moments in this novel.
Ms. Bolling is so gifted, giving her unique way of creating spins off; you just know that each new book can spin at least ten more books. So her faithful readers wait patiently until her next release, while not wanting the current novel to end. The characters are so touching you will feel like they are a part of your life, almost wanting to look for them with a flashlight in the day time. Romance may never be gone but I'll be damn if this author not bringing it back.

The Pendleton Rule caught me by surprise. Ty Pendleton and Kiki Simmons are back. The attraction they had to one another has not cooled off after a year of seperation. Someone has come along and is hurting people that worked on a sting with him and the Davies Brothers, as pieces fall in place Ty realizes that Kiki maybe in trouble. Ty rides in on white horse to rescue Kiki against her wishes. Kiki doesn't want him anywhere near her because of the sizzling attraction that they share. He loves her, she loves him but he doesn't want marriage. A Love like their's only gets better over time. The story line is as good as the previous ones and I love how Ms. Bolling introduces strong women in her books. It was great seeing the previous characters supporting each other as they have done before. Hmmm wonder who is next in line for a story, whomever it is I know will be good.

Typos , galore
I wanted to give this story a higher rating but the typos were too great they destroyed the story. I loved the espionage but Kiki got on my nerves at times. I loved Pendleton "s rule of no one touches what mine!

This is the story of Tyrone Pendleton and Kendra Simmons there story spills over from the novel Night of Seduction/Heavens Gate. The two are very stubborn and neither refuse to give in so they are at an impasse and then when lives are threatened they are back together and discover that they are indeed supposed to be together and will literally walk through hell to be together. There are many twists and turns in this novel and you come away feeling like you were there watching it all play out. There were moments when I really wondered would they make it out alright and would anyone be killed in the process but in the end it all turned out alright. I found a few typo's and grammatical errors but overall Iris has done it again and I look forward to much more from this author in the future. Keep up the good work Iris, I will keep reading! Looking forward to the other family members stories in the future especially KiKi's brothers and the Towers 1 and 2!

My rating would have been higher if not for the following:
While I enjoyed the book, it was really hard getting through it with all of the inexcusable grammatical errors. I hope that Iris Bolling gets better editors or proofreaders. I can’t keep reading novels— and this is only my second one— with this kind of inattention to basic grammar rules.
I spent as much time reading as I did giving suggestions about the “typos” in my Kindle device. This was extremely off-putting.
After I read the first one, I thought that the problem would be addressed in later novels. To find that she was not a first time author( which is what I initially thought when I encountered all of the grammatical errors in my first of one her novels), caused me dismay.
I hope she works it out.

I Loved this Book. The Storyline was full of Drama and More Drama. Yes someone does die but that’s just how this Iris Bolling Rolls. Never A Disappointing Moment as each SCENE Unfolds. Taking you on a breath taking tour of Adventurous Mayhem and Can’t way to see what Happens next. Get Ready to be Transported into Adventure. Enjoy Your Read, I truly did.

Another great read by Ms. Boiling. As usual this book was full of drama, suspense, love and laugh out loud moments. Loved Tyrone "Ty" Pendleton and Kendra "Kiki" Simmons. Enjoyed the addition of Kiki's family, especially her mom, Isadora "Issy" Simmons. The book did have some curve balls that were great, so be ready. I would recommend this one and "Night of Seduction and Heaven's Gate" to anyone who wants to read a great love story! Make sure you read them together so the stories flow!!.

Great read!! Ms. Boiling has become one of my all time favorite authors. Her books have it all. Drama, suspense, love and laugh out loud moments. Good strong characters. The Pendleton Rule was no exception. I love the way new characters are brought in and old characters are brought back.

Great Series
The Love story between Ty and Kendra was exciting and new twist at every turn. The proofreading and editing leaves much to be desired. But the story is worth overlooking the errors. I hope there is another book in this series.

This book adds to the great love I have developed for Ms. Bollings' writings! With its twists, turns, and revelations, you can't put it down! I would recommend this one and "Night of Seduction and Heaven's Gate" to anyone who want a great love story!

This was my introduction to Iris Bolling and I enjoyed every minute of it. I listened to the audio book, loved the narrator and even enjoyed the sound effects. I'm looking forward to reading another book by this author.

I enjoyed this one but did not give 5 stars for two reasons. One there were quite a few typos and grammatical errors. Two there were too many characters, even though I realized I should have read the two prior books.

In the beginning, this book was getting on my nerves!! The background noice was annoying me at times. Many people should have been on someone's couch. Halfway through, it did get better and I enjoyed the ending. I read another one of her books and really enjoyed it. This one not so much.

I have been enjoying this heart series. I ended u staying up late to finish this one. The only thing I didn't like was Kendra's immaturity throughout the story and Ty having to go through so much to prove he loved her. Other than that it was a good read.

Did nog disappoint
This book had action, suspense, surprises and love from the first page to the last. I love hos the characters connected to the other series of books. I'm had go immediately give it a second to ensure that I captured all of the action. Great book!

Author Iris Bolling has written three successful series. The Heart Series, Night of Seduction Series and Gems & Gents Series. This novel, "The Pendleton Rule" falls under the Night of Seduction Series in the book "Heaven’s Gate" which is where the love story of Tyrone "Ty" Pendleton and Kendra "Kiki" Simmons was born.
It's been a year since Ty refused to make a commitment and Kiki moved to NY. Literary Agent Kiki has absorbed herself in her work and although extremely hurt, she refuses to settle for less than she deserves.
The fierce thirty-five year old Entertainment Agent Ty has also moved on and closed off his mind to all female relationships. But if you could step inside his dreams, you will see that it's only his outta persona that has put up a stubborn front.
When danger comes knocking on Kiki's door, Ty jumps to the rescue, awaking a passion that has been buried but not forgotten between the couple. But danger pursues in this action packed, suspense story where two proud lovers must put their stubbornness aside and work together to flush out the enemy.
Out of the seven novels I have read by Ms. Bolling, this is one of my favorites! A sharp, exciting storyline,
that profiles strong career driven males and no-nonsense females who leave lasting impressions on the readers.
This is a solid five star story, and with hopes that the editor/s on this project sharpen their red pencils thus leaving no room for errors, the entire presentation will be an A+ upon the second print run.

Now I know how Ty and Kiki came to be!
Sad what happens when people commit adultery. It is especially sad when that adultery results in a child. It becomes dangerous when that child ends up having psychological problems because her selfish father deprives her from having a relationship with her siblings. He deprived all of his children after he left his wife and kids, married the outside woman then gave them the lifestyle he denied his first wife and four children. Now fast forward twenty years later and that daughter of the side piece turned second wife is jealous of the first daughter to the point of orchestrating her kidnapping and death. Thankfully Ty upon believing Kiki was in danger went into protective mode pulling upon the aide of some of the government's most lethal operatives to protect her. Kiki's sister was pretty smart but all the way selfish and deranged! She had Ty and his crew looking in all the wrong places and after all the wrong suspects when the one plotting Kiki's demise had the same daddy Kiki and her brothers had. I am glad her plot was uncovered before the government operative turned mercenary had a chance to take Kiki's life! I like how all of these prominent Black families are joining forces by the things happening in all of their lives! In the dressing department, seems Joshua has a bit of fashion competition in Ty! Just saying😁😀. Another great suspense novel that I loved.

In this sequel we catch up with Tyrone Pendleton one year later after Kendra “Kiki” Simmons walked out of his life but never from his thoughts and heart. Kiki wanted more than Ty was too stubborn to give, leaving Kiki no choice but to move on, but a string of crimes now have these two crossing paths. Again, passion ignites, but both are strong-minded and unwilling to bend thus the Pendleton Rule is born.
As always, Ms. Bolling did an excellent job bringing Kiki and Ty’s story to life. She is a wonderful storyteller that has readers rooting for the main characters one minute and wanting to scream at them the next. Of course this book has some hilarious scenes, those Pendleton Rules and where they were established just funny. I will say the attraction between Kiki and Ty was still there even a year later, and most of all Ty Pendleton shows he is the MAN in this book. He proved it throughout the book but the “counter scene before the date” will have you agreeing Ty is a keeper. Those rules were put to the test. What is the Pendleton Rule, readers will have to pick up this story and find out. You will not be disappointed.

He proved it throughout the book but the “counter scene before the date” will have you agreeing Ty is a keeper. Those rules were put to the test. What is the Pendleton Rule, readers will have to pick up this story and find out. You will not be disappointed.

I listened to the audiobook. The narrator was ok, but I could think of a couple of other narrators that would have elevated this book for me.
Kiki was a bit irritating. All I heard her spouting off about was how she could take care of herself. I thought she could at the beginning. Then just as fast, she did something dumb. Yeah. Right sis, keep deluding yourself.
I felt like there was more to Ty Pendleton than I originally thought. That subsequently proved to be true. I read the books out of order. Not by choice, but by chance. Some of the twists and turns were surprising, and some were predictable.
I loved the strong, intelligent women that were part of the book. Naverone, Genesis, Karess, Raven, Monique, Isadore, and Miriam. This book also mentioned Absolute. Had I not read the different series out of order, I would not have known Absolute's identity.
I did enjoy the book. There was a good amount of action, suspense, intrigue, danger, and heat. I loved it when the gadgets and the tech came into play.
I think Ty had a much more generous nature than I would have had considering the circumstances. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt him. On to the next Brooks Family novel.

Ty and Kiki are off the chain. They have been "separated" so to speak for one year after Ty reveals that he isn't the marriage and family type of guy. They are forced back together so to speak after someone is wreaking havoc in the lives of people around them. I love the fact that they go back and forth with one another and how Kiki stand her ground with Ty.
I was most happy to see Monique make an appearance in this book. The story line was excellent, I kept trying to guess who the culprit was, but did not figure it out until it was revealed. Iris is a master story teller and she weaves the lives of her characters together so effortlessly. She creates characters that we love to follow to follow up with. I especially like how she is joining these families together. Loved it, loved it, loved it.... If you haven't read it yet...what are you waiting on.

First let me say when I started this book I was late for work because I could not put this book down : Ty and Kiki are a very interesting couple and they are both likeable characters . Kiki is strong and cute I loved when she kicked that mans butt and Ty is sexy dangerous in his on right I love them. Iris also did what she did best with the children I loved the part where Ty's Niece kept asking if he was going to give Kiki a baby too adorable. I felt this book is the beginning of some good writing because there are a lot of characters that I know will be in the upcoming books. Good job Iris Boiling this book was certainly worth the wait and I know the next books will make a wonderful series.

Really enjoyed this story.....Ty and Kiki relationship showed true love although separated for a year......unforseen circumstances bring Ty and Kiki back together again....Ty finally know in his heart of hearts that he truly loves Kiki and there was no one else in the world he wanted more than Kiki.....he vowed to show her just how much she meant to him....There were quite a few LOL moments with Kiki and Ty....the thing that I love about Ms Iris's books is they seem to have it all.....ROMANCE.....SUSPENSE....and HOT STEAMY love scene. I must say I ain't mad at Momma Issy...LOL....and was glad to see Monique make an apperance.... seems like there might be more from this group of family and new found friends......Can't wait.....Job well done Ms. Iris....
