This was quick read about the joys that come from having a library card. It was nice to see how much joy kids get from learning. I would say it's probably best for Kindergarteners and 1st graders. As someone who started volunteering at my local library, it is a nice read to see how important libraries are to life long learning.

Cute book about a boy getting his first library card. He learns all the rules, but then decides to ignore one rule and keeps three books overdue. The guilt weighs on him so he finally tells his mom and they take them back the next day and pay the late fee.

A cute story about Sam, who is getting his first library. At first he is overwhelmed by the library and all his choices... until he realizes he can take them home! When it's time to return the borrowed books, though, he wants to keep them. His choice is nicely illustrated, along with the consequences.

This story is a nice introduction to how a library works for a preschooler. It also includes a nice moral lesson about the rewards of telling the truth and asking for help from your parents (in this story, Sam's mom).
