Written by the late poet Deborah Digges, this is a beguiling and bittersweet memoir about coming of age in the Vietnam era. It is an unbelievably nostalgic read for anyone that grew up in the nineteen fifties and sixties.
It is also beautifully written and highly recommended for all who enjoy the genre of memoir...

Observant slices of the author's life from her childhood through divorce from her first husband. I previously read her memoir about her troubles with her youngest son, and now wish there was more. :-(

I loved this book. I read it years ago and thought it was deeply moving. It is even better on this second reading. A beautiful, true memoir of the making of a life. I am so sorry Deborah Digges is gone and will not be writing from the vantage point of old age.
