The book itself is cute with the rolling large eyes the flow through from page to page. The story is more of a song style with repeated lines multiple times in a row. I am not the hugest fan of these types of books that read more like a song than a book, but I am able to see the benefit of the style as it gives a visual representation of the song.

One down side some parents may have with the book has no aged well as a result of the child pulling pranks by placing a frog in various places for others to find. While the story does not really make it seem like the child is a prankster and devious, it may still bother some parents. The other thing that has not aged well in this story is the frog ends up in various food dishes.

I am gathering books to give to a friend and this will not be one of them. Still cute for a quick read.

This book draws the reader's attention with the large wiggly eyes that pop out from the cover and each page. The sentences in this book follow the same style, only changing a few words on each page, which makes it repetitive and easy to remember.
Topics: frogs, emotions, pets, losing pets, siblings, breakfast, school, friends, fairytales.

I work at a day care and read this book at least twice a month. It is a big hit with all ages. Perfect book for reading out loud. BTW, must be read with rhythm, like a rap. I always ask the children, who was the one that put the frog in the unusual places.

Dean loved the rhyme to this. Still doesn't care about pictures, but that'll come.

Fun story to read with children; has a sing-song kind of tone that kids can get into. The eyes sticking out of the pages also really attracts kids.
