Civil Procedure: Materials for a Basic Course

Rate this book
The most respected casebook on the subject, the sophisticated Civil Procedure provides a classic overview of civil procedure, giving law students a complete and solid grounding. Retaining prior editions' range and depth of coverage, the eighth edition covers major cases such as Semtek and Amchem; new rules on disclosure and class actions; and new sections on dispute settlement, hypothetical jurisdiction, international litigation, and legal history. The versatile coursebook can serve the most profound civil procedure course as well as a modern compact course with as few as three semester hours, and its flexible structure fosters diverse teaching methods.

As far as law texts go this one is actual decent at covering cases and providing enough details to be able to teach yourself civil procedure of the professor is terrible.

Personal Jurisdiction, venue, subject matter jurisdiction, pleadings, motions for summary judgment, the list goes on....oh how enthralling.

I appreciate that it was concise! And for the most part, the prose doesn't take too terribly long to comprehend.
