My questions surrounding Mr. Boot overshadow any other comments I have about this book. Why does he only appear only once? Why is he helping the train driver “just for today” anyway? Is he really lucky to be doing so? These are questions that my fellow reader and I ask ourselves every day when we read this book. “It’s a mystery” is our conclusion.

My kids love this book. While reading the stories you can find a tiny duck hidden on every page.

Short stories for early readers. Would be good for kids who like trains and farms especially.
