Boho Baby Knits: Groovy Patterns for Cool Tots

Rate this book
Does the barista at your coffee bar serve your kid a steamed milk with a dash of cinnamon–just the way he likes it? Is your baby already a regular at the neighborhood indie bookstore? If so, your budding bohemian deserves a wardrobe that suits his or her creative lifestyle. For children’s knits with style and attitude, look no further. Boho Baby Knits contains more than 30 designs for clothes, toys, and
accessories that are so cool, you’ll wish they came in your size.

Knitters will love the fun literary references, punk rock allusions, and beatnik musings that inspire these patterns for newborns to four-year-olds, and kids won’t be able to get enough of these bold, colorful, and unique projects. With patterns designed for all levels of knitting experience, crafters can knit a simple present for a baby shower in a day or two or create a very special project over a couple of weekends. Clear, step-by-step instructions, easy-to-read charts and diagrams, and dozens of four-color photographs ensure happy results. From graphic leg warmers and a folk festival frock to a bohemian striped boat neck and a Western-style jacket, Boho Baby Knits keeps kids dressed like the free spirits they are.

This book has some darling knitting patterns, such as the amazing knit fairy wings. There was so much I loved about this book. I am actually thinking about buying it sometime. Being a some what inexperienced knitter (I am sill working on my first project) I am not sure how difficult these patterns are. They are darling though.

These wild projects are sized for the small set. None of them are too difficult. There is a mobile, the obligatory blanket, a poet coat, lacy angel wings, Scenester Leg Warmers (if you have to ask what a Scene-ster is you're too old to understand the answer, my daughter tells me) and much more adorable stuff.

most of the stuff in here is so cute it makes you wish it weren't for the darn babies but since it is be on the look out for a darn baby wearing something like a come-and-go lion bonnet, oh-so-chic.

Some of the items are really cute, but some are completely ridiculous & impractical like the Poet's Coat.

There are SO many patterns I want to make in here! What a precious book - and perfect timing too, since I have a new niece coming this fall!
