This book is useful if you have a translator and if you are a beginner. I like that it has the written pronunciation for the words but that's where it becomes difficult because it does not have a cd to listen on how to pronounce the words.

Nice clear font, but I wish the romanization wasn't included - makes it difficult when learning to sight-read Korean words.

Another book my fourth graders picked out from the library for my upcoming move to the Land of the Morning Calm. I like the clear pictures and the pronunciation key for the Hangul symbols, but my personal opinion is that any book used to teach a language should have an accompanying audio CD with a native speaker pronouncing the words. I can read the pronunciation out loud all day long, but next year in Korea will I get laughed at for saying the words incorrectly because I learned them from a book without a CD? Just my suggestion for the publisher, should there ever be a second edition to this book.

This book is super helpful! I used it to make vocabulary lists for myself so that I was forced to sound everything out, because the book has pronunciation guides (which I was kind of cheating with).
