For all the Larry Boy lovers out there in the world, this is great. Seriously got Doc Oc vibes from the villain in this. I would have absolutely loved this as a child…one of my favorite shows was Larry Boy and the Angry Eyebrows, lol. Great for all superhero loving children.

Even for VeggieTales (which I'm very nostalgic about!), this book is a bit nonsensical and preachy. The story and the text don't flow very well or make a whole lot of sense. That said, my toddler is currently obsessed with LarryBoy, so she loves it!

Though I think I will like further tales of LarryBoy, because I heart Batman and all Batman spoofs, this one really... was dull. For the first time in this series, the action didn't always make sense with that was happening in the artwork, and the gumball villain (I thought they were all vegetables?) was actually under used.

the kids love it, and our 7 year old learned what "humble" means. good moral to the story.
