Pretty fascinating read. At first it completely threw me off, just as dementia in a loved one does. But the more I read, the more connections I found. The best part of this work, which is based on Schultz's experience with her mother's memory loss with intervals of Hawaiian life, mothering, US politics, is the inspiration gleaned from following her form page after page. The Memory Cards are disconcerting but ultimately satisfying.
