Started reading this book for a class in grad school, and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of topics covered. This book is an important resource for anybody in the helping profession or even care givers to utilize to understand manifestations of common chronic illnesses and/or disabilities.
It brings awareness to much needed discussions on how chronic illnesses and disabilities impact one’s life. From the first symptom emerging, to prognoses/diagnosis, treatment planning, and much more!

Read it for my health class. Was so interesting, gave so many insights and I appreciated the insight on the many different levels of chronic illnesses and disabilities and not letting out the individuality while giving the importance of environment and social structures the focus it deserves.
