I enjoyed it a lot actually despite my low rating, I thought it was a good adaptation that involved a lot of key elements ted riding hood contains. The thing I disliked about it was that it was based on a movie so the author decided to leave the end of it on a cliff hanger saying visit this website for a bonus chapter. I visited this website because I enjoyed this book and wanted to read the bonus chapter, unfortunately the website was really hard to navigate and in order to do anything I would have had to download like, a bazillion and two browser extensions which for me is a red flag don't proceed any further. My guess was that this was to promote the movie but I didn't really appreciate it and it kind of spoiled my memory of the book.

I really enjoyed reading this book because it was full of suspense and romance. Valerie, the main characters, was confused about her lifelong friendship with Peter because as they got older she was unaware of how in love with him she had become. When her parents wanted her to marry Harry, she realized that she didn't want to be with Peter as just a friend. She was torn because Harry could offer her a better life than Peter could but Valerie also felt disloyal to her sister, who had recently passed away and was in love with Harry.

She lived in a village in the woods known as Daggor-horn and was very poor. The village was haunted by a wolf who came out in the full moons. In the time of the blood moon if you got bit by the wolf you would be cursed to become one. Nobody knew who the wolf was but the holy man was called in to help the village and he told them how the wolf wasn't out in the wild, it was one of the villagers.

Valerie and the others were scared and untrusting of almost everyone because they didn't know who the real wolf was. Could it be Peter? Harry? Her grandmother? The villagers thought it was her and she was accused and punished by them. Meanwhile, Peter and Harry were both trying to fight for her freedom and attention.

Too many things went on in this book to write about. That is what kept it so interesting. While reading it, I was constantly kept guessing and had strong ideas of who the wolf was. I was secretly hoping it wasn't Peter because I loved what he & Valerie had together and didn't want him being a wolf to interfere.

I would strongly recommend this book for people who like suspense, romance and adventure all wrapped into one short and easy to follow story.

It was about a girl named Valerie who lived in a village of people that were afraid of the wolfe. They would give out daily surface so the wolf would not eat them up. The main characters were Valeria, her family and her old friend childhood friend (it was a boy but I forgot his name). They could only feed the wolof sheep and other meats once a month so it wouldn't harm them, but sometimes accidents happen. They encountered difficulties when Valerie had to protect the wolf and who was the wolf in the village. The adventures were not as wild it was close to their home village and in the woods. I couldn't connect with any of the characters it was hard for me to make a bound. This story does remind me of a youtube video of those emo people who make me cringe claiming that they are wolfs? I don't know what goes up in their minds but it's close enough to relate with this book. I haven’t read anything like this with other books because I’m more into the ghost and paranormal world. I really didn't like the book, the plot was too fast and it took too long to explain itself, as for me the reader I knew what was coming and it was a big mystery. The author had a good plot story and I liked it that it was good but make it more gutting and mysterious. Make Valier more strong than weak falling in love with a wolf, I don’t like books that are like twilight and I felt it like this was the same way, it wasn't anything new too it.I would recommend this book if you like the twilight series and want to read something similar but for me it wasn't good because I’m not a huge fan with hot sexy vampires and werewolfs.
