Grant Tinker writes a detailed, somewhat high level professional memoir of his time primarily leading NBC. Given that the early to mid-80s was a pivotal time for the television business, Tinker's perspective is illuminating. For a 2023 reader however, it's a reminder of just how male-centric the industry was. For the most part, the only women he mentioned were spouses, including his own - Mary Tyler Moore and Allen Ludden's, Betty White.
