This book is written by a woman who went through a lot in life also has great belief in christianity. It has some humors in it as well. I really enjoyed reading it when I did some soul-searching and needed spiritual up-lifting reading. This book did the job. :-)

When I was going through my divorce after 28 years of marriage this book helped me to remember who I was. Even though this wasn’t the life I signed up for; it was still my life and I still had a lot of Living to do!

There were just too many topics touched upon to be of much help to me. If you have deep wounds or chaos a more specific devotional would be more helpful. If you are just facing the “normal” stresses of life this might be a great resource.

Sorry, but this book is not my cup of tea.

All she does is whine about her life. I don't recall God asking me for things I want (or don’t) in my life. Life is what you make it. You can sit and cry and have pity party after pity party about things that are hard. Because of those hard times, which I refer to as my 'desert wondering', I am now in the promised land. If I had not had my years in the desert, I'd not be the person I am today.

Besides God can turn a mess into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into a triumph, and a victim into a victory. So quit griping and complaining and give it all to God and have a glass a lemonaid!

I worked through the first chapter of this book and then I stopped. I really enjoyed the first chapter - but the following chapters didn't seem as relevant to my life and concerns right now so I didn't want to spend my time on them currently. It's definitely a study I'd like to go back and work through sometime in the future. It's great at referring you to verses that are helpful at certain times in your life.

An in depth bible study. I really liked how the author summarizes that even though it may not be the life you signed up for it's God's will to give you a message for others so they can have hope and healing, all in his glory.
