Creepy Egyptian mummies is a non-fictional book, and is brilliant for ks2 children. Illustration of the book comes in different colours and shapes. This book can be part of a history lesson, and can be used to provide factual information on mummies. The book contains humour, and is a great way of sustaining children’s interest in the story. This book is a great way of finding information on Egyptian culture and their history.

“Vital statistics”, speech bubbles and captions all provide attention-grabbing facts about mummies. Index section of the book provides historical vocabulary words and can help children to enhance their historical knowledge of mummies. This book is very colourful, contains different subheadings and each page stars with a big and a bold letter to captivate children’s interest. Text of this book is in different styles, and is a great way of making the story more powerful. In my opinion, this is a great factual book with wonderful illustrations.
