I really like the architectural style of Queen Anne's but these houses in San Francisco are just too too much for me. They are too colorful too gaudy just too much excess. There were a couple of really pretty ones . I love the woodwork in these old homes and some busy things but again in moderation.

This beautifully illustrated book is filled with the architectural history of San Francisco, and delightfully goes into great detail on color trends with respect to gingerbread houses and Victorian beauties. This book proved a great inspiration in helping me to decide what I want to do with my own gingerbreading.
