Based on one of today’s most popular Bible studies for women, The Frazzled Female reaches out to busy ladies everywhere, guiding them to sanity, peace, and a deeper, more vibrant relationship with the Lord. Cindi Wood’s approach isn’t “no-nonsense,” because she’s as hilarious as she is helpful. But in the end, her readers will clearly learn how to become “victoriously frazzled.”
I'm sure most women can relate. You have so much on your plate, so much to do and you are in a word, frazzled. You have to make dinner, take care of the house, take care of the kids, go to work, etc. So much to do and so little time to do it. Cindi Wood has created The Frazzled Female to help you become what she calls “victoriously frazzled.” Yes, you may still be frazzled after reading this book, but she shows you how you can be less stressed and have a deeper relationship with God.
This book was amazing! I loved each and every chapter. I found myself frequently saying to myself, “yep, that’s me. I’m guilty of that.” She shows just how important it is for us to have not just a surface relationship with God, but a deep relationship with God. If we will commit to having a deeper relationship with Him, He will help you deal with the frazzled moments of your life, and you might just end up being “victoriously frazzled.” I highly recommend this for every woman, especially if you feel like you are juggling way to much and completely overwhelmed.
**I received this book from the publisher (B&H Publishing) for review purposes.
Finally finished this -- it's a well-intentioned book, with lots of the basics about dealing with stress in a Biblical way. My favorite parts were the Bible verses and passages. While it's always good to hear these reminders, it felt too "lite" to me. I wanted to hear concrete examples of women struggling with issues and dealing with them with God's help. There were occasional anecdotes that seemed like they were manufactured for the occasion rather than "real" women.
This is a great book to keep in the car to read in quick moments between ferrying the kids around and running errands. God's words are always welcome!
This is a very good book about aspiring to have a growing relationship with God. It's very down to earth, plain talk with reference to scriptures as well as biblical examples and the authors personal life experiences. It tackles issues we have in maintaining day to day activities, overexerting ourselves in not so fruitful activities and just priortizing our days to spend quality time with God daily so we can be more prepared for the things we will experience throughout the day.
Helpful to go with the study book but you don't really need to buy both. The study guide had all the important parts of the book it was just more of the cindie's personal stories to fill up space.
