I have written over 100 books under the pseudonym of Becca Van and decided it was time for a change. I am now writing and self-publishing under the pseudonym of Becky Wilde under Whimsical Words Publishing.
I live in the southern state of Victoria in Australia. I have been married to my husband for almost 34 years and though we’ve had our ups and downs like any normal couple, we’re still going strong.
We have two adult children, a girl and a boy whom we love dearly.
Australia is a vast country with tropical forests, vast deserts, and sweeping plains. Due to the lack of water and vast aridity, a large part of the country is uninhabitable, and most of the population lives along the coastlines. Although Australia can be harsh, I find it to be a wonderful country.
I love my country, the changing landscapes and the friendly people.

When I told my man I wanted to self-publish he immediately started researching how to do this. I am lucky because he did an internet marketing course a while ago and thanks to his knowledge we decided to create our own publishing platform.

Wow. This book is extremely poorly written. For all the build up, I was expecting a Shakespeare quality masterpiece!
Straight off the bat, the author ended up on my "this shit is irritating" side... With her multiple warnings about not sharing her book, and this includes with your families that live in the same house... I'm sorry, not sorry.. to anyone that gets offended but my daughter and i, and even sometimes her grandmother, exchange books and tablets to read books that we buy. We are not selling them, it is no different than taking out a book from the library. Now, I understand wanting to protect your work. I'm not.stupid, nor am i heartless, however, if you have read the ebook of this then you know exactly what I am talking about... So, if those three pages of warnings that you will go to jail and sacrifice your first born, if you share it with ANYONE doesn't drive you away, the writing sure as hell will!
Getting through the first 5% was a struggle. Right off the bat, the story jumps all over the place. Spelling errors. Scenes not making sense...
The guys, mmc, really were brainless. One track minds. Zero build up.
I couldn't do it. So...BAD.
I struggled all afternoon to get almost 30% then promptly passed out from the pressure in my brain from the stress.of trying to "enjoy" the book.
So, I am over it. Don't worry Becca, or Becky or whatever name you're writing under this week.. (I found other "pen names for her), we will not be sharing your book among our family. You pushed away.my daughter, so she didn't want to waste her time... Me? Well, I always.try to give the benefit of the doubt but, in this case, I just think you didn't want more ppl to see your book....
Btw I should mention, between us, we purchase.thousands of dollars in books per year... We get them from sites like Amazon, Google, Apple, Smashworks... Plus bookhub, or other sponsored sites. We.don't support piracy and normally, I don' t complain about warnings but that HUGE bright red page, page #1 was too much. You, my dear, have made it to our " DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AUTHOR" list.
I wish you luck. I hope, with time, you will ease off and be like other authors. One warning page, and listening to your readers.when they say.there.are.problems with your writing style.
If you are a follower reading this, check out her other reviews.
Good luck all. I am off to reread.a.really good k. Webster book called, torn. An author.who has.long since earned.our respect,.praise and love.
Forgoten I've read this book so forgoten to write a review :/
It was a great reading. It could have been but the way the guys take away the heroin choice didn't please me. And more, if the girl was a battered woman flying for her life, how can she let 3 unknown guys take her the way they did ? I didn't understand at all !

Tessa's fiance beats her up when she tells him their relationship is over, so she flees in her car and stops in Sugar Creek, Ohio at the Shifter bar to get a cup of coffee, not knowing that the place is really full of werewolf shifters.
When Tessa walks into the bar, Lucien, Gabriel, and Rafael - three werewolf smell the scent of their mate. Lucien is the Alpha of a pack and Rafael and Gabriel are his betas, as well as his brothers.
They immediately move in on their mate and scare off her ex-fiance who has followed her there.
Then, they kidnap the woman, going so far as to render her unconscious to keep her quiet, to get her back to their pack house!
There are the formulaic happenings - kidnapping their mate, dealing with the ex-fiance, jealous female pack member, male pack member that wants to be the Alpha... it is just soooo bad!
The main reason it's SO BAD is the stilted dialogue. Lucien talks to Tessa in Spanish, although their names would suggest that they are French weres (quite common in werewolf stories). This story is *supposed* to be happening in Sugar Creek, Ohio, but there are all sorts of non-American terms, such as 'petrol' that aren't used here. The author doesn't seem to have a proper grasp of idiomatic American English, so there are few contractions used, making it all sound extremely stilted. And what's with the Spanish? Are these Mexican weres, Spanish weres??? No explanation about them or their origins.
I took a glance at the Author's bio page, and it says she is Australian, and her bio also reads quite 'stilted' in comparison to a lot of American authors'. Her reading list isn't erotic romance in general... 'write what you know', said a wise person. If you don't know Americanized English, don't set your stories in America. Don't have your characters speak in Spanish, unless you can get it into your story that there is a reason for them to speak it.
The sex scenes are all the same, just guys in different orifices each time. Read some other writers' erotic romances to learn how to write good sex scenes.
On the plus side, the author does a fair job of dealing with emotions of Tess, considering how short the story is.
I am irritated that I bought all three installments of this at BookStrand, based on their ratings and the story descriptions, so I have to hope that the next ones are better.
I certainly hope this author gets some editorial help!!
Also, it is unseemly for an author to list all of her own books on Goodreads and give them 5 stars to boost her ratings, which Ms. Wilde has done. I have seen other authors do the same, and it isn't appreciated by the readers, IMHO.

It's the wors book i've ever read! The idea was ok: 3 males are searching for their mate and found her in a bar with her clothes ripped and with bruises. After she founds what is she to them, she has to accommodate in the pack. But THE WRITING... (two words) was awful. And it was the writing not the editing. I've got the impresion that the writer was from another country and the book was originaly writen in another language, adn she (the author)thaught: ,,Hey, why don't I translate the book? Why not? It's fun!" And then she did it on google/translate. I repeat: It's the worst book i've ever read!
The story itself was odd although it had potential. My biggest peeve was with the spelling and grammar. These things are important to crafting a good story. At one point, a wound is being cleaned - stated as 'cleaned the sight of the wound'. It should be 'cleaned the site of the wound'. Wilde should also gain consistency with the names of her character. At the start of a sentence she'd use one take of a male's name (Luc/Lucien for example) then in the middle or end of the sentence, she'd use the other variant.
I gave this book a shot even though I read several not so great reviews. I really wanted to like it so I shelled out the $6.99 to give it a go. I'm not one that gets hung up on grammatical errors as long as I can get the gist of things (one reason I bought it even after reading the reviews), but this book did not read well at all. I honestly felt like I was reading a book that had been written by someone who spoke English as a second language. It was frustrating to say the least and for me not something I could get past.
All in all pretty terrible. Obviously self-published, the author has no idea how to use proper grammar, and the spelling's iffy, too. For future reference, apostrophes are used to convey possession, not plurals. Beta readers cost nothing.
I didn't realize Becky Wilde and Becca Van are one and the same. Read this one a long time ago and then rebought not realizing same story. Posting full review on Becca Van's listing.
After being nearly attacked by her ex, Tessa Michaels is on the run. Of course she had planned to leave before, but she never expected to end up in Sugar Creek.
When Lucian, Gabriel, and Raphael Woolf scent Tessa they know they have found their mate. They sense she is frightened and having a man come into the bar trying to get her to leave, they know she needs their protection as well. Explaining they are wolves and she is their mate is a little bit more difficult than they thought, Tessa's own insecurities are creeping in and she doesn't believe that she will be enough for all three men. Lucian, Gabriel, and Raphael have no doubt that she is the one for them though.
I had actually read this before under Becky Wilde. I think work has been done on this one though, very good story. I liked all three men and was pleased that Tessa just didn't accept the mating, she wanted all the details and made a decision based on it. Very fun.
I almost never rate a book I haven't finished, but this book offended me. Aside from never, ever, having seen an editor in it's life (which drove me up the wall) the premise is basically thus: main character goes from being a battered woman who is almost killed by her boyfriend to abducted by five hot guys to sleeping with not one, but all five guys. In the first two chapters. Or something. I stopped reading after about that.
On top of all this, I paid $6.99 for what has to be a rough draft. If I'd know it was so unfinished, I would have gone for a different book.
Alright, well I will admit that I was after a moderately bad, sexy, three werewolves on one girl type of book and I certainly got that. Sometimes you are just in the mood for it. Having said that it was so bad to begin with that I almost didn't get past the first few pages. Terrible writing, terrible story, treating the reader like an idiot and telling you everything instead of showing, terrible spelling. Blah. Quick thrill but not even really much of one at that, I have read much better bad books.
It's really more of a 2.5 I'm glad I only paid .99 for it. This was obviously not edited at all. It progressed so fast. I didn't have a problem with the three mates, I knew that going in, it was the way it jumped around. I thought the ex was going to be the problem, but we don't even know what happens to him. The story had potential if it would have been longer. It seemed like Ms. Wilde was trying to put too much into this short of a story.
I really like the story and the sexy alpha male characters but through almost every series I'v read of Becky Wilde there's been writing mistakes. Sometimes when she's writing about one character she accidentally puts wrong name in the scene. This was very confusing at times. She also repeats herself in every series. Even with all these faults the series she writes is very sexy, very dirty a good read for the price.
It's only 10 chapters so i guess it's to be expected. But ****. The plot moved REEEEAAAAAL fast. There wasn't time for the characters to actually grow or improve. At some point I got real annoyed at the pace of the story too cause there wasn't any event when the characters could've gone deeper. -.-
it was an ok book but it moved way to fast before u know it everything is over and u have no time to know your feeling about what happened before something else happens and they never tell us wat happened to crazy ex boyfriend

This was a quick hot read. Some of it was unbelievable, some of it was laughable, it was entertaining to say the least. This is in no way the best werewolf book that I've ever read. I did enjoy it though.
It is definitely only appropriate for adults. They have a menage.
I couldn't finish the first chapter, it was that bad. Everything negative said below is true. Don't buy this one. The brain cells you save will be your own.
The romance happened a little fast and the heroine waffled worse than a willow in the breeze. I finished the book but it wasn't the best shifter romance I've read.
