Can't Say Goodbye

Rate this book
BRADY

Our quick hellos are followed by drawn out goodbyes.

What started out as one fun night turned into a regular thing none of us ever planned for.

I can’t walk away from Kit and Prescott. Kit is the stern nurturer I need. He’s the caretaker, the solid presence. Prescott enables my wild ways. He’s someone I can have fun with. They couldn’t be more perfect for me.

But come graduation, I have to move across the country, and geography isn’t our only obstacle. Being in a relationship with two men isn’t good for my public image, my brother’s NFL career, or the media frenzy that surrounds my famously queer family.

We have a plan to meet up once a year, but with every reunion, every brief visit, we fall deeper.

There has to be a breaking point, something that will end it for us, or soon it will be impossible to say goodbye at all.

Wow, it's been a hot minute since I've read an M/M/M story, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying this one. 😁

I tend to be one of those readers that prefers less steamy, more emotional books, so since the premise of Brady and his SEALs was them having sex-only hookups, with absolutely no strings attached, the chapters with tons of carnal acrobatics weren't my favorite.

However, after a year-long separation , when the guys reconnected again and realized just how desperately they'd missed one another, that was when the feels began and my attachment to all three of the MC's increased about tenfold.

It did take quite a while for the guys to finally and fully admit how much they wanted to be together, but the pacing was good, without any superfluous filler fluff included, so I only got more and more invested as the story continued.

I found the "Big Thing" that finally happened to be pretty nerve-wracking, but also touching, as it was the catalyst that the guys needed to take a chance on the three of them becoming the "more" for which I'd been waiting and hoping.

From that point on, some of my favorite parts were Brady's crazy found-family's antics and how supportive Uncle Damon was, not only toward Brady's career as a sports agent, but also his happiness with his chosen partners, and fuck anyone who had a problem with Brady's poly status.

I'd whole-heartedly recommend this book to fans of Talon, Miller, Damon, Maddox, plus the entire host of Eden's sports-centric characters, and rate it at around 4.25 stars.

can’t say i enjoyed this.

i found this incredibly boring. like 50% of the book is: have sex, oh no i don’t want to go, little to no contact for months, repeat.

then i honestly couldn’t feel the connection. my biggest fear with a throuple is one being left out and i thought that brady was going to be the plus one at the begging. oh, boy . you need a couple to leave out the third. however you consider them, there’s no couple.
it started to get a little bit better around 60% to crash again. a shame.

i’m honestly embarrassed to say this: there was too much sex. WAIT LET ME EXPLAIN. i like a good dose of smut as much as the next hoe but when i feel zero connection? zero chemistry? when the relationship is built on nothing? yeah no. all those really similar, pointless, countless sex scenes almost put me to sleep.

i refuse to talk about the side characters because that’s a whole another issue. i’ll just say that the decline of talon is complete and a “best friend” is mentioned like three times in the whole book.

This is most likely a case of it's not you; it's me, but I can't say I enjoyed this one.

First of all, the story spans several years during which the three MCs meet every few months to fuck. The men live separate lives in three different states until the very end.

That's two things I dislike right there: long distance and years of being just friends with benefits.

Kit and Prescott's voices sounded the same, and Brady sounded like a brat (not at all how he came across in other books as a secondary character).

I didn't feel any real emotional connection between the men, and - yes, I'm gonna say it - there was too much sex, to the point I started skimming the sexy scenes because they were so repetitive.

This book felt long, and I was so bored, I started skimming around the 40% mark. Too bad because I'd been looking forward to Brady's story.

Weeeell, this was not the blast I was hoping it would be but it was a good read and I enjoyed a lot of it.

When I started reading I was falling hard and fast for this book with two SEALs and best friends picking up a third in a club for a round of hot sex, Kit’s intense but hidden feelings for his best friend Prescott, and Brady making a damn good first impression that they both want something they never wanted before with a hookup - a repeat.

“I can’t say goodbye.” I shake my head. “I’m not ready.

But what started intense fell pretty flat for me later in the book. Somehow Eden Finley couldn’t convince me of their feelings towards each other. The directions their lives take separate them and most of the time they are apart they don’t talk to each other and when they are together for a short amount of time I didn’t feel the sparks flying I think were needed to fall in love. It felt like friends with benefits truly, even though the author tried to convince me they wanted and were already more.

I wasn’t buying it.

Like with the last book I read by this author I wished the story would’ve enfold differently and I couldn’t really get on board with the path Eden Finley chose to go with these characters. I wished these three would’ve communicated more openly but they kept their true feelings and needs hidden in fear of loosing what they have. UNTIL something serious happens and they all go I have to tell them how I really feel. I would’ve wished they would’ve realized that on their own and would’ve been brave enough on their own.

What I do appreciate tho was that Eden Finley took a topic centre stage that isn’t normalized enough and talked about enough imo - poly love & relationships. It just wasn’t the scandalous fact of the book but the author made it a topic to talk and think about. I really liked that.

The best and most entertaining part of the second half of the book was def the involvement of Brady Talon’s crazy family. It was great seeing the dads and the whole bunch of found family again, still being so tight and all in each other’s business.

I’m glad I read "Blindsided" before starting this one because I think the author intended for the readers to get a little nostalgic over meeting all the old favorite characters again.

Overall I think Eden Finley and I are not a perfect match. I wish we were but the spark between us is missing. *lolll

*** I reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.***

Can't Say Goodbye is the story I was most intrigued by after reading glimpses of this relationship in Football Royalty. This epic story did not disappoint. Brady, Prescott, and Kit all have varying levels of affection for each other, and eventually, feelings develop, which creates a mess of things as time and distance make everything more complicated.

I enjoyed the POV's of all three men. You get to see where their heads are at with this tricky situation. They all have dedicated careers, which are in different places with different demands, but what keeps everyone grounded is each other. The moments where everyone is able to just exist together are sweet, steamy, and full of heart.

I loved this unique love story that feels so natural and meaningful to everyone involved. A poly relationship sounds challenging, but Kit, Prescott, and Brady make it seem so easy due to their ability to listen and understand one another so effectively.

Overall I loved this story, I loved how beautiful the emotional moments are because when these guys show their love for one another it is so powerful.

This was a pretty good book and I guess I could say I enjoyed it for the most part (especially the second half). I can always count on Eden Finley's books to get a laugh out of me,

I wasn't a huge fan of the long distance with time jumps, seeing each other only one week per year or so.

Brady, Kit, and Prescott started as just a hook up and it felt like that was all they did for the first half of the book. I think this book would have benefitted from shortening the hook-up only part of the book, and giving us more depth with the actual relationship part. I wanted more actual communication, getting to know each other, connection, and chemistry and instead it was just a lot of sex.

This was... Underwhelming...

I mean, I liked the story, but it didn't make much sense... One of our main characters (Brady) didn't have any chemistry with Pres or Kit. They met for s*x a few times every few months (later basically once a year), they mostly didn't talk about anything real except one time or another and even then, I, as a reader had the feeling most of the relationship was happening outside of the book. The time jumps really p*ssed me off because when I finally thought "they are making a connection" the scene skipped. I wanted to see the relationship bloom, the chemistry, the start of a romance... I was expecting something big, something epic, and don't get me wrong, the book was mostly fine, I had fun when I could deal with suspending my disbelief. The truth is: I didn't feel it. I didn't feel the love between them, the chemistry, the sparkle. I would like for Eden to show us all of that instead of just saying. In summary : this is a smut book, majorly constructed on s*x scenes and - to me- felt very empty.

Ps-after thinking about this book while talking to a friend today I felt I was way to generous with my rating, 2 ⭐ it is

MMM Romance
Long Distance Hookups

If it wasn’t for the “uncles” in this book I would have DNF’d it but since I loved the fake boyfriend series, I wanted to be back in their world and so I tolerated my disdain and kept at it but fuck was it boring and if you’re going to give me more sex than feelings, at least make the sex hot. My favorite line in this book was about Noah from Trick Play. Made me laugh at loud seeing it from Brady’s perspective. 🤣🤣 But he was 💗

”Uncle Noah is rather protective of his kids—something I’ve grown up with, so have always known, but it still surprises me when my dads laugh at him for it because before Jackie, their eldest, was born, he was supposedly the least parental of them all. They say he was a selfish playboy and Uncle Matt somehow got him to settle down. I can’t see it.”

Ok back to the rest of this book. I haven’t read EF for ages because everything she released after the CU Hockey Series ended felt like I was reading the same book over and over again. I used to love EF’s humor but now I find it almost off putting and even though I loved reuniting with all the “uncles” in this book, they were just so OTT. No one acts like that especially once they have children and that doesn’t mean they become boring but it’s hard to read characters like this and take the book seriously. Damon was the only one that seemed put together whereas everyone else could have been part of a circus.

But my biggest issue with this book was just how boring it fucking was. The time jumps in this were so abrupt. One minute they were having sex and by the time I flipped the page, a year had passed. I wanted to see their conversations during that year because Preston and Brady supposedly talked all the time but everything important seemed to happen off page. When the 3 of them were on page it was just sex and MMM sex scenes are usually so fucking hot and these just were not. They felt so generic probably because they barely interacted outside of sex so the sex scenes just felt mechanical. I learned more about them through their terribly boring inner dialogues than I did when they actually talked to each other. And that’s another thing. We never see them have any kind of real conversation until like 60% into the book and by then it was too late for me. After that point they finally spend a summer together and none of that is shown on page either so their love declarations just felt hollow. The words sounded sweet but had no depth to them.

I guess when I saw EF was doing her first MMM book and long distance was going to be a big part of it that she’d bring the angst. I know she’s a low angst author but Jet/Soren’s book, Hat Trick still made me cry so I know it’s possible for her to make me emotional. I’ve been in a long distance relationship FFS so I know how exciting it feels to have the person you love come visit but there’s dread there too knowing they are going to leave again and every time it gets harder and harder to say goodbye like you’re going to combust if you have to do it one more time. But I felt none of that reading this so I just found it incredibly disappointing that this author chose to do something new and then didn’t embrace it fully. I loved the idea but hated the execution but this book was great for my insomnia, fuck anytime I picked this up I fell asleep within 30 minutes so at least it was good for something.

I’m going to put this author in my do not read shelf because I just don’t think she’s for me anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️I feel like her books were a great intro to the MM genre and brought me a lot of joy but now are something I am just not interested in. I never fully write off authors unless they are assholes so who knows maybe in the future she can woo me again but for now I’m going to move on because boring books are just soul suckers and too many in a row make me lose my will to read in general and who wants that.

I…. wow. I am in love with this book. So much. I went into this book with expectations on how I thought it was going to go. I’ve read only one MMM book (well actually it was a series of 4 books but it was the same couple), and I guess my brain thought this MMM story would be like that one. I was very wrong. In the MMM book I previously read, there was already an established couple that brought in another man. In this one, all parties had to work hard for that HEA with each other and man was it a beautiful thing to read.

I really enjoyed reading the dynamic between Kit, Prescott, and Brady. They all knew how to give each other what they needed in and out of the bedroom. Speaking of the bedroom???? Zoo wee mama. That’s some catch your bed sheets on fire stuff. I need a moment.

This book takes place over quite some time. I’m going to be honest with you all, I hate time skips in books. Whenever I see the dreaded words “Six months later” or whatever time limit, I want to screech. This author didn’t do that, and I want to kiss her for it. She made it known that some time had passed, but it didn’t seem that way if that makes sense? I can’t explain it, but I really appreciated how she made the time go by. It happened fluidly.

I loved the characters in this book. The Talon-Miller family as well as Prescott’s family. They were all so funny and incredibly supportive. It was beautiful, and I wish everyone on this planet could have family members like that. Everyone deserves to have that level of love from the people who are important to you.

I will be thinking about this book for a long time. I felt like I was fighting right along with the men of this book for their HEA. I almost feel like it’s my victory, too. I’m glad I got to be there for it. It’s so funny how attached you can get to characters like they are really a part of your life. I feel like these guys are my friends, but I guess they kinda are.

I didn't want to say goodbye to these three amazing men either

When Eden announced she was writing the next generation of the guys I’d fallen in love with in her Fake Boyfriends series I might have been a tad excited.

Seeing Payton Miller get his happy ever after with Levi in Football Royalty was a joyous experience and one I adored.

But then when she said his brother Brady Talon was going to be falling for two Navy SEALs, well let’s just say expectations were high.

And oh boy does she deliver, in spades, with bells on, shining lights, and an air horn.

This book not only met all my desires and hopes, it took them beyond and into the stratosphere. It’s burning fires of Hell hot, of course it is, the sex is off the charts steaming.

But it’s so, so much more than that. This is a book about love and sacrifice, it’s about pain and hope, it’s about three souls meeting at a perfect place in time and slotting together like the best puzzle pieces.

Each one of the three could manage on their own, and any two of the three could successfully be together as a couple if they’d met in different circumstances.

But what makes them special is what they bring to a relationship as a triad. Each arm of their equilateral triangle has the perfect set of characteristics that matches the gaps the others need filling.

Eden took three men who never set out to find a lifetime of love and melded them through a series of long separations, fears and doubts, hurt and comfort, into a rock-solid partnership with unbreakable chains

I could happily have read another book twice this length filled with their banter, their caring, their support, and their antics between the sheets.

I’m not sure if this is goodbye to the second generation, there are a few cousins still I’d love to see get their happily ever afters. If it is though, what a triumphant note to finish on.

This is why I should never go in to a book I have such high expectations for… most of the time I am let down.

Brady, I was so looking forward to this book with you and your two SEAL men 😍🔥but I wanted less sex and time jumps, and more communication and relationships building.. that kinda picked up after the 50-ish% mark.

It was good to see all the “Fake Boyfriend” couples again, as honorary uncles haha.

Idk I just felt as though something was missing.. and I am bummed about it. If the guys communicated earlier about feelings, I can see a lot of the unnecessary overthinking go away, but that would be way too easy right? Haha

Tim Paige did a good job with the audio (which is up on Scribd now)! Though sometimes I would get mixed up with who’s pov it was since sometimes they sounded the same.

I do like all three guys, Brady, Kit and Prescott, I just wanted something more from them. More cute relationship stuff and the emotional connection, since we could definitely tell they were all physically compatible hahah

As soon as I read Football Royalty, I knew that I had to read Can't Say Goodbye ASAP. While I definitely loved Peyton and his relationship with Levi, I couldn't help but be pulled into Brady's orbit every time he was on the page and wonder what was happening behind the scenes. For those of you who want to read Can't Say Goodbye but haven't read Football Royalty, I'd highly suggest it. While it's not necessary, I feel like there's a bit of context that adds just a tad more depth to Brady's feelings for both Kit and Prescott, especially in the beginning of the book when the events are overlapping.

As for Can't Say Goodbye, I absolutely flew through this book! I read it in a day because I had to know what happened. I knew it would have a HEA, but this one was definitely angstier in getting there than Eden Finley's books usually are. Even so, that didn't diminish my enjoyment. There was just the right amount of angst mixed in with the tender and spicy moments to really balance the story out. The situation Brady, Prescott, and Kit find themselves in is not one easily navigated, so I felt that added angst was the only way to make the plot believable, and it worked well.

Lately I've been reading more and more poly books, and I have been loving them! Can't Say Goodbye is no exception. Brady, Kit, and Prescott were just as swoon-worthy as I was expecting. Their dynamic was a lot of fun, too. Prescott and Kit already knew each other really well, and Kit was secretly pining over Prescott, so Kit would frequently use his threesomes with Prescott and someone else as an excuse to get close to him, but when Brady enters their world, everything changes. Brady is the missing puzzle piece for Kit and Prescott. The two can't seem to shake him after their first night together, which then leads to several more nights, and then to years together.

Can't Say Goodbye takes place over a decent span of time since it handles a long-distance hook-up/relationship between the three of them, who aren't in the same place as each other. Even though a lot of moments are skipped over because of this, there was still plenty of development towards the three's relationship. Their growing feelings were evident with every night they spent together, till you could practically taste the tension.

While this is definitely a steamy read, I absolutely loved the tender moments between the three of them. Kit is the one to take charge normally, while Prescott is more laid-back and sarcastic. Meanwhile, Brady is quite the drama queen, and requires both Kit and Prescott to keep him under control. Even so, sometimes these carefully structured roles would melt away in the face of certain situations and feelings, and they would each know exactly what to do and say to comfort each other. It was so sweet!

While the first 50% of Can't Say Goodbye is just as good, the last half had me completely hooked. One stressful incident had me on the edge of my seat until I knew the outcome. This particular plot line led to some of my favorite scenes, too! I won't say anything more because of spoilers, but trust me when I say that you'll love it.

Aside from Brady's relationship with Kit and Prescott, I also adored the family and friend dynamics! At this point I've read so many books featuring these crazy guys and their families from Fake Boyfriends, to Franklin U, and now to this one. Even so, I'm still not over the familial scenes! Each time, they have me dying with laughter and grinning so wide my mouth hurts.

Overall, Can't Say Goodbye, while not quite what I was expecting, was such an engaging read. It had me hooked from page one, and I couldn't put it down till I'd finished. I loved Brady, Prescott, and Kit, and all their interactions. I hope Eden Finley writes more poly relationships in the future, because this is one of my favorites!

DNF @ 18%

I was looking forward to Brady's story, as I found him quite interesting in the Franklin U series. And I was also looking forward to trying my first MMM book, to see how those dynamics work in a romance novel.

This wasn't it, though. First of all, there are a lot of time jumps just in this first 18%. Although Brady and Prescott and Kit seem to take a liking to each other right away, it's not shown how they get to there, not really. Then there's the one-sided (at least at first) interest that Kit has with Prescott, yet Kit is fine with bringing in a third on a regular basis, ostensibly so he can also have sex with Prescott.

I'm sure this is all resolved in the book, but it comes across to me that Kit is using Brady to get to Prescott. I hate that. So much. I also don't care for two guys having regular sex with a third because they can't fraternize, because that again seems as if they're using Brady, no matter how hot the sex is.

I like Eden Finley a lot, but this was a fail for me.

This book was such a breath of fresh air and I absolutely devoured it.

I think I was getting to the point in the Sadenverse where books were really starting to blend together and all feel the same to me, especially all the hockey ones, and this book just came in and stole my heart because I’ve never read anything like it before.

I’m a big fan of MMM but this one was done especially well. I think the natural progression of Brady, Kit and Prescott’s relationship just felt organic and was not at all rushed. I’ve been super curious about them since Football Royalty and did a little happy dance when their story finally became available to borrow at my library.

I also found it easy to love all the characters individually. Brady has been a fave of mine since I read The Dating Disaster (even though he’s named after my least favorite person in the entire world, but I digress). And I loved seeing more of Felix, and also Peyton and Levi. Still on the fence on how I feel about Talon and Miller as dads because, boy, are they annoying. I also really loved Kit and Prescott. I don’t even like military romance all that much but they were both such big sweethearts and the love they had for each other and Brady was so adorable.

I loved the poly elements of this book. There was a lot of open communication about boundaries even from the very beginning. Even though Kit and Prescott kind of used Brady as an excuse to be intimate together the first time, you can see that it never happens again and that the care and respect they have for each other extends to him. There never seemed to be unbalance in the relationship where someone was getting left out (even when they all couldn’t physically be together) and that’s really rare to get with a MMM book, so I appreciated that. And I really just adored their dynamic. Brady, who is a physically imposing man, wanting to be dominated and taken care of in his personal/sex life because he’s always had to be the one in control and taking care of others his whole life. And Kit and Prescott just loving taking care of him.

I also loved how Prescott’s and Brady’s families took the news of their relationship and were immediately supportive. And the hurt/comfort aspects of this book were amazing. Honestly there isn’t a single thing I didn’t love. This book could’ve been a few hundred pages longer and I would’ve eaten it all up. I love these three and I hope we keep getting updates on how they’re doing in other books.

I always hesitate reading poly romance books. Not because I don’t like them, but I think they are the hardest to do justice in 300 pages. You not only need to get 3 characters, but also explain a relationship between three people and each couple seperately.
It’s a lot to squeeze into such limited space and very hard to make the romance not seem one sided.

I love Eden Finley’s books and so I took the chance to read this one after really liking Football Royalty and wanting to get to know more about Brady!

I really liked Brady and the two guys. It includes a lot of good banter and humour like always with Eden Finley’s books.

Kit and Presscot have been best friends since years and Kit already has feelings. Throwing Brady in the mix creates a whole new dynamic between them.
What makes this romance even harder though, is that they all live im different cities spread across the US.
They don’t have a lot of time together and what we get of this time is a lot of smut.
When even all the conversations we get are about sex it’s very difficult.
If you’re in it for a light fluffy read and very hot steamy scenes this book is excellent. They’re very well written and made me stick my head in the fridge several times.
But they spend a whole vacation together, there are phone calls and in the end they spend weeks together. What we don’t get are a lot of conversations or shared experiences between them. I need that to make me believe in the romance and feelings, not only the lust they share.
It gets more like this in the end, when they’re an official throuple, but I just wanted more of it throughout the entire book. To make me believe more how they all fall in love with each other.

For me the main focus was a bit too much on Brady too.
His whole family consists of well known and beloved characters from Edens previous books, so they appear quite often in this book. We barely get to know the other two guys families and friends though. Especially Kit doesn’t seem to have any people in his life.
For me in the end he was the the most inscrutable of the three, because he also barely had any contact to the other two guys throughout the book.
I’m glad he got two whole families now though.

All together it was a very quick and easy read and a fun smutty romance with lots of steam! If you’re into that then definitely go for it.

I was very curious about Brady when seeing that he might have two love interests. I very much enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and bloom. Kit and Prescott were just there for Brady when he needed them to be. They also knew Brady in a way that no one else did. Their relationship was just everything. But this made me want to reread all of the Fake Boyfriends books again after seeing them appear.

Second read through update: well this book was just as freaking fantastic the second time around on audio as it was reading it the first time. I am sorely tempted to just restart the audio I loved it so much!! If you have not read this story or others related to it I highly urge you to! You won’t regret it!

This book was everything I didn’t realize I was looking for and more! I have only read one other MMM book before and I did not really enjoy the dynamic so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book. However, there was absolutely no way I wasn’t giving this book a chance for the following reasons: this is an Eden Finley book, Talon and Miller (Brady’s dads) are one of my favourite couples (they are in Blindsided which is part of the Fake Boyfriends series) and I loved Brady in Football Royalty (Brady’s brother Peyton’s book). I would recommend reading those books before this one to get the full experience but you absolutely do not need to. It honestly felt like coming home to read about Brady, Kit and Prescott. I would read about this world and all its relationships time and time again.

I really wish that this had been the first MMM book I read. Absolutely everything about their relationship was amazing. The dynamic, their banter, the roles they played in the throuple and while just in pairs and the way they seemed to all fit together like pieces of a puzzle. There was absolutely no instances of favouritism (where it was really two of them and the third was just kind of there). It was always an equal relationship with them looking out for the others and what they needed in the moment. The best was seeing the roles switch around in times of need and Brady becoming the caregiver. And the actual sexy times between these three:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!! They were on fire!

The book starts off while Brady is still attending Franklin University and Kit and Prescott are in the Navy. They start off as just having a sexual relationship and meeting up when they can. There is a lot of time jumping and a few years between the beginning and end of the book. In between their visits they are not together and there are no rules so they do see other people, however, there is no on page action with others outside of the throuple and no actual cheating at anytime in the book.

It was a fairly low angst book but very emotional at times (Brady’s speech about too much love for only one person 🥲). There was a big lack of communication but a big event happens which was super stressful to read about that triggers them to finally have a talk about what they want and need. The author did such an amazing job writing this story that I felt like I was right there with every character through this journey. I loved that we got the POV from all three MCs to get insight on how they all were feeling. The ending was beautiful and I couldn’t have been happier for the three of them.

If you are at all on the fence with reading this book as you’re not sure about the MMM angle I beg you to give it a chance. I honestly would have been so mad at myself if I didn’t read this book. I did not want it to end!

I am distraught! I have been looking forward to Brady's book because I loved his character so much and he deserves the world, but this was not it...

While the sex between him, Kit, and Prescott is ridiculously hot, their chemistry otherwise is lacking in my opinion.

I'll probably revisit this later, but for right now I'm not feeling it

I loved Brady in Football Royalty, and I'm a big fan of poly romances, so I was super prepared to love this book.

However, a few things didn't work for me, and they really messed with my enjoyment of the book and I'm SAD about it :(

My biggest issue was the constant time jumps. The first 1/3 of the book went: one night of sex, time jump to a few months ahead, one hot night of sex, time jump nine months ahead, one hot night of sex, time jump, etc etc.
We didn't see the guys get to know each other, develop chemistry, trust, and feelings. It felt like erotica, and I kept mixing up the names of the two SEALs because they blended together.

Second, the utter lack of any sort of communication until the end was so frustrating. All 3 characters continued to fly somewhere to hook up for a few days whenever they could for YEARS.
And none or them ever thought they should talk about how it clearly was more than just sex? Kit and Preston were supposedly best friends (another relationship we were only told about instead of witnessing) and in their 30s for most of the book - you'd think that after years of this, at least one of them would bring it up.

The last bit of the book was nice, and there were some hot scenes, but most of the spice I didn't really care about because it felt like I didn't know the characters so I just couldn't get invested :(

Packs a sexy ass punch right from the very beginning!

Brady wants to be spit roasted. That’s actually how this story begins when he meets two hot as sin navy seals and they do indeed spit roast him. Yum!

So that should’ve been it! End of story. The problem that’s not really a problem? None of them want to say goodbye.

This story lasts for years, each time the three of them are able to get together. It’s always physically fulfilling but it leaves their hearts in tatters.

Communication is key, it takes a long time for the three of them to figure it out. Because they all want more.

This perfectly showcased each man, their life, their wants and needs and how much they care about the other two. No one was left high and dry at any point, especially as it became more than an itch to scratch.

I loved Brady’s gay family and Prescott’s hilarious parents. As much as this was hot as hell, it also cracked me up.

I couldn’t wait for these guys to get their HEA but I hated to see it end.

I have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, I did like all of the characters and there were a lot of times they had me smiling like a crazy person. But on the other hand, they were separated a lot and the most we saw from them were sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, these men had my Kindle steaming up and it was great. But then it went on and on and on some more with little to no other scenes with the men together and it just got boring.

It didn't help that the book was mainly comprised of time jumps. We'd see the guys together and then leaving each other and being sad, and then the next chapter was a few months later and it was them trying to get together again. It wasn't like we got to see very much of them communicating while being seperated. We did find out that sometimes they talked but we didn't really get to see that conversation happen other than once or twice. And again, even when they were together it was mainly them having sex. It wasn't until at least the 50% mark that Kit mentioned he didn't actually know much about Brady. It just made the connection between all three of them hard to see.

Overall, this was a fun book to read. I struggled with the romance a bit but in the end all of the characters were easy to like. And it was fun to see the crazy families involved, not only Talon and Miller, but Precott's family as well.

Side note that didn't really affect my rating: As someone who read Football Royalty where we were first introduced to Brady's men I was a little confused why that wasn't shown more in this book. I actually had to go back and read the beginning of the chapter after Brady met Kit and Prescott because I really wasn't expecting the time to jump past scenes that we saw in Peyton's book and I got confused when they did.

Okay so y’all know I’ve been on an Eden Finley backlist binge for the last two months and I was super lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book and have it as my first physical read of the year!

I first read Eden’s book from the Franklin U series, Football Royalty, last autumn and basically spiraled from there. And thus have been WAITING for Brady’s story ever since. Even though this is a standalone, I strongly recommend reading Football Royalty (and also The Dating Disaster by Saxon James) first because this is where we first meet 22 year old Brady and get insight into what all he’s got going on, etc etc. (FYI both those audiobooks are narrated by Tim Paige so run don’t walk and go listen to them).

Anyways, this story was everything I hoped it would be and more! Sometimes reading dual POV is daunting enough, so the fact that Eden masterfully balanced 3 POVs and gave us fully fleshed out characters, with internal struggles, and equal relationship building amongst all three as pairs and together as a group was just unreal.

Also as someone who spent a lot of years doing long distance with my husband, those parts of the story definitely hit home.

As always the spice hits the 3-4🌶️ range, plus we get a scene with two Navy SEALs sneaking out a bedroom window 😂 it’s hilarious and iconic.

Overall Opinion
I first want to start of by prefacing MMM is not for normally for me, I struggle with concept of sharing and so I was a bit nervous going into this thinking I wouldn't really like it. Eden 100% happily proved me wrong and actually gave me a poly book I enjoyed! This is Brady, Kit and Prescott's story and, like every other Eden book, has a mixture of emotion and humor throughout the whole story. From the very beginning, there was no doubt about the connection and chemistry between these three, it was hot and spicy and off-the-charts delicious! Spread out over several years, they meet up once a year, through many changes and perils, it becoming harder and harder each time to say goodbye. The mutual pining between them all was divine and angsty and was perfectly balanced. The writing wove a wonderful story of long distance love, finding the ones, and emotion-filled encounters.

Read if you like:

Oh noooo! This makes back to back Eden books that haven’t really worked for me for basically the same reason. 😭

There was just no real connection for me between the MCs. All the elapsed time with only hooking up and no communication was repetitive and not conducive to me believing in their love. This also felt a bit corny in some spots? I don’t know. The humor and love confessions were a bit of a miss this time.

I’ve been a huge Eden fan for awhile so idk maybe it’s me. 😅

wow I was so excited for this book but holy shit if this did not give me a headache while reading this and not in a good way

Things I liked:
Brady
Uncle Damon- Literal King (pun on last name intended)
The whole gay brigade 🥹(Justice for Jet and Soren tho)
(The best part of the book was when they all met kit and Prescott)

Things I didn’t like:
everything else

This was very meh to me and each scene was just a meet up of them having sex and moving on. There was limited plot and barely information about Brady and his internship and law school. Limited background on Kit and Prescott.

The big “thing” that everyone talked about in their review was very predictable I called it at 41%.everything was filler until it happened and everything after was just sex until they met again

The last 30% of the book was better, but I’m disappointed bc I loved Brady so much in Felix and Peyton’s books in the FU series but wow I wanted more😬 I think it’s more of a 2.5 but I’m rounding up to be nice🤷🏻‍♀️

The journey that Brady, Prescott, and Kit take so they can be together is frustrating at times...but it does reflect the reality of a venture like this. Two people, whether it's male/female, or any other combination of sexes, takes a great deal of patience and understanding, I can't imagine what trials adding a third to the mix would cause. Just because you’ve found “the one” ...or in this case "the two", doesn’t mean that everything will immediately work out and you will ride off into the sunset finding your "happy ever after". True love takes lots of effort, along with compromise, and sometimes you just have to give it a great deal more time.

You can't help but love these three men and hope that their love for each other, even if it is so very new, will be enough. I didn't think that there was enough relationship building between the three of them, even though they had over 300 pages to build in. They were apart much of time and had really only started to communicate one on one, other than their meetings halfway through the story. It didn't seem like enough time for Preston and Kit to fall as much in love with Brady as they were with each other...and I wondered what the possibilities of this actually happening, really were. My husband says that it's just a story and that I "overthink" things. In spite of my "topping from the bottom" it was still a good story, but then, on recollection, I have never had a bad story from Eden Finley.

❤️polyamory
❤️so much banter
❤️steamy
❤️Navy SEALS
❤️spans several years
❤️long distance

This story had me hooked at the first chapter. These guys stole my heart. Brady’s bratty personality, Prescott’s charm, and Kit’s protectiveness, ugh….loved it so much!! I adored how the story evolved from a fun fling so something so beautiful! Brady’s HEA was worth the wait, and now I want to read it again! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Favorite quote:
“I don’t hesitate to run into them and wrap my hands around his back and bury my head in his shoulder. Then Kit is behind me, and I’m where I belong. Where I’ve wanted to belong since we first met. With them.” 🥹🥹

Overall, loved this book so much! Eden’s banter-filled romances always make me so happy, and this one has definitely left its mark. 🤗🤗
