Rule number one of being a single dad: the babysitter is off-limits. Even when she’s as irresistible as Savanah.
My twin sons’ new babysitter is far more tempting than she should be. She also saved the day when my ex flaked off and left our boys alone. I can think of several ways I’d like to thank her for stepping up—each more inappropriate than the last.
I tell myself to resist the temptation, but that becomes nearly impossible when I realize how much Savanah is struggling. An abusive home and neglectful family are unacceptable for my angel, so she’s going to have to stay with me—even if having her in my house all the time seems like a special kind of torture.
The gorgeous babysitter is forbidden, but my willpower is running thin. I’m starting to think the tempting angel who cares for my boys might just need someone to look after her…and I know just the man for the job.
"God, I want her. I want her sweetness and her body and every other thing about her. And I'd move mountains to get her, to keep her, to possess her."
Wow, this instalove novella was a surprise! I've never read anything by Ivy Adams before- but I'm so glad I discovered them now!!
In this book we have Grant, who is the father of twin boys, and Savanah, a babysitter. Grant comes home from a business trip to find out his wife had abandoned their kids for THREE DAYS. The babysitter, a sweet girl named Savanah, didn't know what to do and was close to calling the cops... but she didn't want the kids to go into the system like she did when she was younger. So she was just trying to keep the boys happy and wait for Lisa, the mom, to get back. That's when Grant finds her and saves the situation.
Young or not, this woman is mine. She just doesn't know it yet. I tighten my fingers against her cheek, possessiveness pounding in my chest. It's about time she found out. "Stay here," I demand. "Stay here with me, sweetheart."
He finds out about her crappy home life and demands she stay with him. This is definitely an OTT novella with a J/P hero! I loved it. Grant was heart-meltingly sweet, just wanting to protect his love. Savanah was innocent but had a pure heart and loved the twin boys like they were her own.
Also, the spice. This novella is definitely a 5/5!
"You need to be careful," I say in a low voice. "Every time you look at me with those wide, innocent eyes, it makes me want to do the dirtiest things to you."
SAFETY: Age: 19h, 40sH Cheating: no! OM/OW drama: yes, ex-wife Sex scene with OM/OW: no! Virgin/celibate/manwhore: virgin heroine, not manwhore hero Triggers: physical abuse from parent (h) Tropes: babysitter/single dad, forbidden, age gap, instalove HEA?: HEA
This one was a harder read for me. I get the taboo. The instalust. The age gap but DAMN. She is 19 and he is late 30s or so. It feels a little predator and a lot ick. A lot of times I am OK with age gap if the FMC doesn’t have a teen in her number And if, for some reason she does, if I can maybe persuade my brain to assume it’s 22 and not 19 then fine However, this felt like she got out of high school and was practically kidnapped into this man’s house I don’t know it just wasn’t a great read.
Maybe this needs a younger audience. I just wasn’t taken with the story and, on top, there isn’t much there - I can’t justify the price in my shop for 70 pages. If you are going to write a ‘book’ then write one, not a few chapters - what’s the point. My feeling on these tiny half books is that there’s just not enough. It’s like hoping for a nice steak dinner and getting a 7-11 hot dog. I grabbed it because I love single dad reads but you need time to write a story like that. Everything was rushed and just left me underwhelmed.

I'm a big fan of the instalove trope and this book was just what I needed. Grant comes home from a business trip to find out that his children's mother had abandoned their kids for three days with a babysitter named Savanah. Grant becomes obsessed with Savanah from the first sight, while she is sweet, has a pure heart and loves the twin boys like they are her own. I loved this novella. If you are in the mood for an OTT novella with a J/P hero, then this is the book for you.

Grant has a pair of boys, but finds out his ex has left them for a few days with a babysitter and not come back to get them. Savannah has saved his and the boys but she also needs saving from her background and family. The characters build a relationship that cherishes instead of breaking down by abuse. The storyline has a few roadblocks, but determination for a future sees it through. Loved the heartwarming feelings and the great ending.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Grant and Savannah’s story. Grant arrives home after a business trip and finds out that 3-days previously, his ex-left their twin sons with a babysitter, and the disappeared. Savannah has had a tough life with an abusive and neglectful family. This is a well written story which emotions, romance, chemistry, drama, intrigue, and love, which leads to an entertaining and heartwarming page turner. Ivy Adams has become one of my favorite new authors. This one is even better than Secret Obsession. Grant is Savanah's knight in shining armor and he's a dream come true. Big sigh! Although Savanah is initially very shy, the sexual tension between the two protagonists leaps off the page. I also love the fact that Grant is a caring father and that Savanah loves his boys right from the start. Thumbs up!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another fantastic instalment in the Obsession series from Ivy Adams. Delightfully hot and steamy. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend.

This book is an insta-love story with an OOT Alpha male hero fighting to protect, love, and pleasure the love of his life; the one who makes him feel things he's never felt before and he'd fight anything and anyone to protect.
Savannah was the babysitter who was left by his ex wife for two days witg his twin's. And when he came he became angry and keep Savannah,cz it was a love at first sight?? Huh?? Btw he was Grant Kidder.
