Make a Joyful Noise #1

Make a Joyful Noise: Searching for a Spiritual Path in a Material World

Make a Joyful Noise was named Most Inspirational/Motivational Book of the Year 2009 in the Mom's Choice Awards. Learn why MCA, known for establishing the benchmark of excellence in family-friendly media, chose Make a Joyful Noise -- Read it now. Summary: Through the ages, man has either sought to understand or destroy God for lack of understanding who God is. Some call the knowledge of God a mystery; that which can only be grasped by great or educated minds. Today, we have thousands of ancient manuscripts leaving signs, including the Holy Bible. There is a myriad of recorded testimony that paints many pictures.

Yet scholars, theologians, and historians of every culture and religion argue as to their meaning and relevance.

You may wonder how, if the professionals cannot agree, you are expected to make sense of it all?

In "Make a Joyful Noise: Searching for a Spiritual Path in a Material World," Chariss Walker uses liberal Biblical references to explain Spiritual Laws, their relevance in your life, and how to put them into practical use without destroying your present convictions.

Terminology is irrelevant. God wants what you want.

When you understand this, you will Make Your Own Joyful Noise!

Award-winning author, Chariss K. Walker, M.Msc., Reiki Master/Teacher, writes both fiction and nonfiction books with a metaphysical and spiritual component. Her fiction expresses a visionary/metaphysical message that illustrates growth in a character's consciousness while utilizing a paranormal aspect. Her nonfiction books share insight, hope, and inspiration.
Those who search for meaning and the supernatural in themselves will enjoy her books.
Even though Chariss also writes dark-fiction about insanely dark topics, such as sexual abuse, incest, pedophilia, sexual assault, and other inappropriate dinner conversation, there is always an essential question of the abstract nature that gives a reader increasing awareness and perception.

American Authors Association review

This is an eclectic collection of thoughts and quotations from the Bible and other sources including various religions. For me, this is the type of book I like to have on hand to read at different times, especially when I need something to lift my spirits. I believe the author intended Make A Joyful Noise - Searching for a Spiritual Path in a Material World to be a life-changing guide.

The author has organized the book into three sections: Understanding Spiritual Laws, The Spiritual Laws, and Putting Spiritual Laws into Practice. In each section are topics that touch on understanding and ways to make changes in ourselves and our lives.

To help the reader understand individual topics the author has included anecdotes from real-life incidents. Each chapter heading is graced with an appropriate illustration.

Though the reader may not agree with all the concepts presented, the book is wonderfully organized and written, with new and old thoughts about all the things each of us faces in our day-to-day lives.

Presented in three sections, Understanding Spiritual Laws, The Spiritual Laws, and Putting Spiritual Laws into Practice, this enticing reference book puts into plain language God's word as well as a more spiritual, less organized religious, way of understanding why we are here.
It also helps with realizing your life purpose or making progress towards goals, be they financial, occupational, relationship or material.
Filled with biblical references as well as anecdotal evidence, this book shares in easy to relate to story and bullet point format how we were created for a reason and there is help available to succeed.

I found myself experiencing various emotions as I read and opening my mind to topics I admit I have been skeptical towards. I appreciate the resources for further study and I will also return to this book and revisit the information.
