About the author

Sandra Markle is the author of more than two hundred children's books, which have won numerous awards, including Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor Book, IRA/CBC Children's Choice, NSTA/CBC Outstanding Trade Books for Children, NCTE Orbis Pictus Recommended, and ALA Notable Books for Children. She lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida and frequently travels to schools sharing her program "Sandra Markle's Books Are REAL Adventures."

This was a really cute and a fun book of experiments. All of the experiments in this book are completely doable for children. The girls in my children's literature class experimented most of the experiments in this book and we had a lot of fun. I can only imagine how much fun children would have with these experiments. These experiments also require materials that are easy to find and use which is really helpful. Most of the items I was I able to find around my apartment. I plan on picking up a copy of this book for my future classroom and to use with my future children.

This book is so fun to do with any age from elementary to middle school. Reading a boring science textbook takes the fun out of science. Science is about exploring the world and see how the textbook works in the real world. For example their a few about motion which is always talk about in school. This is also fun if you have kids so is educational and keeping them busy. The best part is that it is common items that you may have in your house. Have fun with the experiments.

This cool little book consists of fairly easy experiments, perfect for children just getting into science, and offers explanations as to how to do the experiment and why it works. This is one of the first experiment books I have read where the drawings and experiments actually work and help completely. I would definitely recomment this! (Side note- my husband and I actually did the first experiment with the toothpicks three times together because it was cool!)

I thought this book was very fun and I loved trying all the different experiments. I actually spend quite a bit of time with my roommates doing these and I know kids love them. The experiments are fun, creative, and easy to do and find the material. I want to use it with my kids someday and let them create these things on their own.

This book had a lot of fun little experiments in it that were easy and inexpensive. However, there was not a lot about the science behind the experiments. I also wish it had more for older students to go into depth with. Overall, a good book for young students though.

This book has 11 inexpensive and fun experiments that are great for children and adults. Each experiment has instructions and then an explanation for the science behind it. All are safe for the classroom and still provide great insight for the minds doing the experiment. Overall a great pick.

it is a really interesting science book for little kids. I like how it uses things around us in daily lives and also teaches us science using simple words. however, it will be great if the drawings in the book be colorful and better quality of paper.

This book is great for looking up quick home experiments, and it is really easy to adapt and expand.
