On the night that Anson, descendant of Lycos, is to be mated, he is magically whisked away to the home of succubus demons. Liam, the son of their Queen needs him in order to defeat his enemy and tormentor, a sorceress who cursed him by having his inner wolf chained.
I was enjoying this book until the vibes I started getting pointed towards a mass orgy breaking out in which Liam would share his prized golden wolf with his lieutenants. That was something I wouldn't have appreciated or enjoyed, especially considering how at this stage Anson had already been raped by the succubus god when he possessed Liam's body and had the lieutenants come all over Anson. I don’t think that was a very romantic first time for Anson with a man.
If you’re looking for erotica then this might be the book for you. If on the other hand, you, like me, are looking for romance then I don’t recommend this book.

WOW! This book was nothing like first one. In Enemy Red, too many things were all happening at once that the story did not flow and was quite confusing. I was hoping the story would end faster and I would eventually skim through the pages. With Wolf Wanted it had me hooked from the first page. It showed what happened to Anson after Fenris took off toward his own future. Since Fenris was able to escape the dreaded mating ceremony, Anson was not; yet his mate was not in his clan but many miles away.
It has been awhile I have been excited about a book and I am happy it is in this series because I knew it had so much potential. In the blurb I liked how it described Liam as it fits perfectly with a male (Ansom) who has no desire to have one lover or have children in the near future. Loved how even though Anson was first turned off by being attracted to a male but could not deny his growing affection for Liam.
Liam has to be my favorite of all the characters because despite looking for a break in his curse over centuries and burdened with his inn wolf trapped, he remained happy and extremely funny. I would say that I found Liam’s species interesting and I would not mind spending time with his pack! This paranormal romance was a nice surprise and a quick read. I truly hope Jericho’s story is just as awesome as I love bear shifters!

I tried to like it, I really did. The premise is a good one, rather new in the wolf shifter genre. But, it was just a foil for unmitigated sexual orgies. bleh. There was barely a story between the sex, the prep for sex, the thinking of sex... you get my drift.

This was an interesting take on wolf shifters and wicked magic. Anson just wants to avoid being the Alpha of his clan and Liam needs the help of a special werewolf to break the spell keeping his wolf side a prisoner. A couple of problems exist, however, in that Anson isn’t attracted to men and Liam has an evil sorceress obsessed with him. I enjoyed the story, but there was a bit too much “group activity” for me to love it.

Anson and Liam are OTT in this short read. Neither want babies, but the animal within requires closeness and pack. Fated mates, sexiness of the MM/group/dubious consent tropes.

We are witness to numerous acts of sexual aggression, sexual pleasure and heightened need between our leading couple, as well as a large number of the secondary characters that easily slide in and out of the sexual frenzy and orgies. A large portion of the story line focuses on the sex and the sexual relationship between Liam and Anson, and Anson’s struggle to accept Liam as his mate.
The story line conflict involving Liam and the sorceress is lost to the numerous sex scenes throughout the book. Almost secondary or tertiary to the plot, the battle for Liam’s freedom is anti-climactic, and over too quickly-the sorceress was too easily dominated and destroyed. Anson’s return to the Great Forest of Alaska crosses over into book one- ENEMY RED where Anson’s twin Fenris finds his own mate and an expanded Silver Clan Pack.
WOLF WANTED is a story of M/M erotica with graphic sexual situations including same sex orgies, ménage and multiples but the amount of sex overshadowed the story line premise and conflict-- such is the nature of erotica fiction. There is one scene of questionable consent that is disconcerting and alarming that may not be suitable for all readers.

I totally loved this paranormal world, I was completely fascinated by the Silver Wolf Clan and the Athmae world. If there weren’t some holes in the story I’d have been completely takes by this book. So I’ll venture and tell you what I loved and what I felt was lacking and let you make your own mind.
So the story follows Anson, a twenty five years old wolf who barely reached voting aged and his uncle-Alpha of the Clan is practically forcing him to take part in the mating ritual. But Anson is special in too many ways. He is direct descendant of Lycos baring his star, he has no interest in having a mate and he has no wish in becoming an Alpha which among others involves fighting his twin brother to death. In addition to all that Anson is also a Werewolf, a rare species deeply respected by the rest of the shifters for their ability to combine Human and Wolf nature into one.
Anson’s only wish is to be free, part of the pack but with no obligation that all come from his legacy. So when forced to take part in the mating ceremony, his prayer to the Wolf in the Forest (the spirit wolf of the pack) is for that freedom, silently begging not to be mated with a she-wolf yet… Well he should have been more specific in my opinion.
Liam is part Demon, part Wolf. After declining a sorcerer’s proposition she cursed his Wolf in eternal prison within his soul. Crippled Liam has tried for over hundred years to undo the curse. This year he cast a different spell, one that calls to the Wolf in the Forest for help, for another wolf to come to his side and help him unleash his imprisoned part. Little did he know he cast a mating spell…
While fighting his confusion of traveling through space and finding himself from Alaska in Germany, Anson has to fend off a very horny demon as well. Apparently in Liam’s world, intimate relationships between males is a pretty normal one. As are orgies… To top it all, this half Demon half Wolf not only requires his help but seems too fond of him, too intimate perhaps. And what is that that he called him? Mate? That can’t be true… or can it?
Love, lust, carnal instincts. Wolves, Werewolves and Sexual Demons. Creatures mate for sex and fight, poisonous seduction and flaming love. Orgies that were not only frown upon but encouraged and part of the world. Bonds created from body fluids that were made stronger when the animal within those creatures came forth. Well, I loved it all. It was fascinating at least.
But I didn’t get how Anson was going to help Liam in first place. The way it evolved, he was only able to do that within his ability as Liam’s mate, so the original spell Liam cast for a wolf didn’t make sense. And then there was the Queen of the Athmae who was supposed to be powerful yet she stayed well hidden when things went toward a fight. What was with that? And I’m not even going to comment on the fight with the Evil Sorceress. I had been anticipating that fight from the start and… well… it actually disappointed me. It was too fast and not nearly bloody enough to show the hundred years of fury and desperation she caused. In the end, the only feral, carnal and downright base instinctive action in the book was the sex scenes.
The end of the book was (again) too lukewarm for the intensity promised in the beginning. It left me with wanting to know more of Anson’s twin brother, and I don’t think he’s going to have a book for himself.
So bottom end, I did like the book, I loved about two thirds of it while the last part didn’t met the expectations. Never the less I recommend it to all paranormal lovers out there. It was a fascinating take on the merging of different species.

Marked by Lycos, Anson is considered blessed by the rest of his pack and, as such, is highly desirable for a mate. Now if only Anson actually wanted to mate. Forced to participate in a mating ceremony by his uncle, the Alpha, Anson is relieved when he isn’t chosen by the Wolf in the Forest but that relief is short lived when he finds himself transported from his home in Alaska to someplace in Germany. Add in a demon that claims Anson is a gift from the gods, and is entirely too sexy for his own good, and things have seemingly gone from bad to worse. With a curse that needs breaking, a sorceress that doesn’t know when to stop and Anson’s sudden attraction to the man that’s claimed him, he’ll need all his wits about him if he wants to get back home. And he does want to go home…right?
I actually liked the story a lot more than I expected; I’d label this erotica with a bit more plot than I’m used to seeing in this sort of book. While the second book in the series, you don’t need to have read the first book in order to understand what’s happening here as the two book take place at the same time, just with a different brother as the focus. While not overly informative about structure of either the wolves or the demons, the author nevertheless gave enough information for you to understand how each group operated and I had no problem diving right into the story. The characters themselves were flushed out enough for me to understand their motivations and personalities and I found I enjoyed how Liam and Anson fit together.
With this being an erotica, there is naturally going to be a lot of sex but it actually felt like a natural part of the book instead of there being sex just because. The plot was also more prominent than I’d expected and was fairly well done; I enjoyed it quite a bit and was a little surprised by how interested I was in the world presented here. As stated in the blurb, there is one instance of dubious consent and a scene featuring group sex but neither part bothered me and I didn’t consider either one to be particularly triggering but, as always, be aware of your limits.
I did like this one but probably won’t read the other two book currently out in the series; the first one is m/f and the third is m/m/f but if you like those parings and I’d certainly recommend checking them out. This was a nice break from what I’m used to in an erotica story and I really liked how everything was so neatly wrapped up at the end. I’m sure I’ll read this again in the future and if you like shifters, demons, and/or are looking for something with less romance and more sexy times, this could be the book for you.

Wolf Wanted by Marie Harte is the second book in the Mark of Lycos series. I did not read the first book in this series, and I was not lost reading this one. There are many layers to this book, and lore. I liked those parts gave it almost a fairytale quality to the story. I loved as a kid the idea that prince charming could come and break a curse, well in this story, our “prince” well he is a bit of a rebellious hellion.

I like Liam he is strong, but soft at the same time. He really wants Anson to love him and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Over all I loved this story and want more! There is some group sex in this book but the author does a great job of explaining why it is necessary, so it flows great with the rest of the story. There is one place where there truly is some dubious consent. But again you figure out why and love the main characters more for it. This is a great paranormal read, and I want the next one in the series, I gotta know what happens next.

I love Paranormal reads and while M/M is not one of my main 'go-to' genres, I do have a few authors whose m/m books I will read and do enjoy.
Wolf Wanted follows Anson - twin of Fenris, who's story was told in the first book of the series - and his attempts to avoid a mating. What he wasn't expecting was magic, demons or the plans the 'Wolf in the Forest' had for him.
A fairly quick read, I enjoyed book 2 a bit more than Enemy Red (book #1) as I had a bit more knowledge of the background of Anson and his werewolf. We caught up with Anson's twin Fenris and his mate as well as the rest of their clan and got a glimpse of the story for the final book in the series.
Liam was a big character - in more ways than one - and while I enjoyed the interactions and growing relationship between him and Anson I was a little surprised at the sharing/group sex with the rest of Liam's 'pack'. I always thought wolfs, especially Alphas, were very possessive and territorial when it came to their mates, but then I suppose the fact that Liam is part lust demon would explain the difference in thoughts and actions when it came to sex with others.
One part of the story was resolved a little too fast in my opinion, especially given how long things had been going on, and while it didn't detract from my enjoyment too much it broke the flow and niggled.
If you don't like m/m themes, loads of sex or orgies, this isn't the book for you but if you like down and dirty male on male erotica you'll enjoy Wolf Wanted.

I just recently started reading shifter books and I have to say that I just love them. This book is full of mistrust, longing, confusion, love, except acne, and of course there has always got to be evil.
Anson did not know that he was allowed to want a male. He has always been taught that a mate is a female. Well he is in for a huge surprise when his mate turns out to be none other then Liam.
But Liam is not everything he seems to be. He is part wolf shifter and part athmae, which Anson always believed to be a fairy tale. Anthmae's turned out not to be evil like the fairy tales he was told as a kid, they are sexual demons and create massive amounts of lust all around them.
In my opinion this is a book about taking everything you was taught and throwing it out the window. It is about trusting yourself and following your heart, whether it leads you to a man or a woman. It about standing up for the ones you love and submitting to that love. It is about claiming your mate and fighting the evils in the world together. And last but not least it is about accepting that the world is changing and that it is ok to change with it. Those are the things that I took away from this book.
I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I now have another author that writes about paranormal and shifters that I will definitely following so I read the books that are written after reading this book.

Anson has been entered into the same mating ceremony that his twin brother Fenris was as well, however, at the end, it looks as if Anson has managed to get away with it and not been awarded a mate. Going for a run in the forest to work off some stress is helpful right up to the moment he is magically transported to a different country and meets his new mate.
William 'Liam' Masterson has cast a spell asking his God Banathmae for help to defeat a powerful sorceress that has bound his wolf inside him. He is half wolf and half demon, Athmae or sex demon. His God sends him Anson, with the blessing of the Great Wolf in the Forest.
Things don't go well between them, as you can imagine, and all Anson wants to do is leave, to go back to his own pack. But when he secures a promise from Liam that he will make sure he gets there if he helps him with his problem first, he agrees.

First thing, says book two? I’ve not heard or heard about book one. So in reading this book had no issues following along
We start this story with a mating ritual, just reading the interesting way this authors take on fated mate, I knew the rest of the story was going to be just as unique, which quite honestly, about time!
Liam is a demon, hundred of years old and has been looking for the one person that can break the curse that has been on him and his people for almost as long as his been alive.
Just so happens as Anson is forced into the mating ritual, Liam is doing a type of mating ritual himself half way across the world. But fate is a funny thing.
I really enjoyed this story, not very long, 100 pages or so, but gave us everything we needed. The meeting, the courtship, the disagreements, the making up, and in the end the HEA.
The story to get us there was nicely done. We learn about both families, history of the clan (s) and of course about each being. (wolf and demon)
The ending seemed a little rushed, not incomplete, but with saying book two maybe we will get more.

I don't have a problem with menage pairings, and I understand these are lust/sex demons, but I wasn't totally pleased with the openness of the main pairs mating. Here's why. In book one, Anson's twin brother finds his mate (a female) and he's super possessive and unwilling to share her (as is the usual for werewovles, it seems). From this, I assumed that's how it was with the wolves in this world in regard to their mates. And then we're given Anson's story and he's all willing to have an open mating, where the demon guards (their pack now) are also part of the relationship. It seemed like Anson was deviating from the norm. Was this because his mate is a lust/sex demon? Or something else? He didn't even seem to question it. I don't know. It just seemed a bit off to me, given what I read in book 1. It also made me wonder what the point, really of Anson and Liam mating was, if they were going to have others on the side as well?

Following an order from his uncle, Anson is forced to submit a lock of hair into the Living Wood in hopes of it finding his true mate. Anson thinks he is free & clear when no one steps forward to claim him during the mating ceremony but just as he goes to walk away everything starts getting twisted...
Liam is part demon / part wolf and has lived the last hundred years or so without his wolf due to a curse by a nasty sorceress. Liam's many prayers and sacrifices may finally be answered when out of no where a golden werewolf shows up...
Super steamy reading with so many places the author can take you on this PNR/shifter series. Can't wait to see what happens next :)

I like to read about hot shifters and demons, and I don't mind to read about orgies if it fits in the story, so this book was right up my alley. Marie Harte build an interesting world with very hot characters. I would have liked to know a bit more about them though. This book contains a lot of sex, but every scene was very hot and bonded the characters. It also fit in a story about lust demons.

Anson determined not to fight his brother to the death to become ALPHA of his pack. Liam determined to break the curse so his equal parts can co-exist. Two beings with two problems. Will they be able to satisfy that deep need that exists in them both? Will they sabotage any chance they have to be the beings they were meant to be? This book pulled me in from the very beginning and refused to let go (riveting read).

This second part in this series way more fun. But then I prefer man couples, lol. The plot is not different from first book and really specifically not better... but as I said it was hotter but a bit to simple for my mind. It wa easy, hot read, I enjoyed it.
