A reluctant voyeur becomes an eager participant...
Marissa has a lackluster personal life--boring boyfriends, boring sex, and no idea what she really wants. Her best friend Lita decides to help her expand her horizons with the help of her porn collection, and Marissa discovers to her surprise that she loves watching two men together.
Video isn't enough, though, and soon she finds herself connecting with a male couple looking for a weekend of wild fun with a woman. She wants to be that woman, but can she overcome her inhibitions and be true to her desires? And could she possibly fall in love with two men at the same time...and they with her?
So the ever busy and “shy girl” Marissa decides that she wants to break out of her limited view of life and sex and live a little. Her best friend shows her bunch of porn and she finds that she’s most turned on by M/M scenes. So she finds a couple guys looking for a 3rd for some no-strings weekend. But things don’t go to plan…
In typical format of the author Brit M, “ménage noobies are on the loose”. This is my 5th (out of 6) books by this author and I’ve liked them all, but this one is my favorite. The character Marissa is written as someone that she is completely relatable. In fact “relatable mature adults” is what I’ve found to be pretty much a standard for Brit M’s characters. What I enjoy most about these and previous chars is that they don’t change mid-stream, you’re never left with “and why did they do that off the wall thing?” There also isn’t a fairy tale ending… in fact Marissa didn’t end up with the relationship in the end that I thought she would.
Another aspect of Brit M’s books is the level of maturity of her characters. Although things might happen fast to start, in the end maturity is what rules the day. Marissa seeks counseling with helps put her into a position to make the right choices for her in the end, and a level of acceptance of her family and their disapproval of her lifestyle.
Oh… and the sex is hot, never a disappointment and this book left me with some goose bumps. Paul the switch, and the former BDSM Adrian as the softy top... YUMMY!
I’ve said this before… the style of writing by this author is very T. Dalton but the sex is pure J. Penn!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m glad to say that I liked it so much that it will not be my last. The writing was smooth and the story engaging. Though not long at 11 chapters, it didn’t feel rushed. I recommend this story to those who like M/M/F ménage with some smoking M/M scenes. There was some light BDSM scenes and yes there was romance too.
All work and no play Marissa is finally finished with her doctrine and is settling into her new teaching job. Her best friend comes over one night and brings some kinky porn in hopes of sparking Marissa’s interest and expanding her sexual horizons. Marissa’s curiosity is peaked {wink} when she sees two men being intimate but when she views her first M/M/F ménage, she is spellbound. The question is how does she go about arranging one for herself…the internet;)
Enter stage right…Adrian and Paul. They are a committed couple looking to celebrate their anniversary by inviting a woman into their bed for a weekend fling so they post an ad on line. Side note…I kept thinking Adrian Paul and if I knew how to add a picture of him here I so would. LOL!!!
I think what really stood out to me in this story was their first time together. It wasn’t perfect with everyone knowing what to do. It didn’t feel choreographed. There was fumbling and adjusting and questions involved but that did not make it any less erotic to read at all...just more real.
Favorite line…
“Just because I know what I want doesn't mean I can have it,”
I'm fairly new to 'erotica' and have learned to have pretty low expectations. Thus, when I come across a story that hangs together, tells an interesting tale, has characters I can believe in, its is a very pleasant surprise. This story by Brit M. was definitely a pleasant surprise. A woman determined to break out of her boring sexual rut finds more than she bargained for with two men, and the men did too. A sweet love story was woven into all the sexual gymnastics.
Stopped halfway through. This book is terrible. I'm not sure it ever started! It was endless, "Monday, [this happened]. Tuesday, [this happened]..." etc, AND THEN STARTED OVER WITH THE NEXT WEEK! To make it worse, the "involved scenes" were things like watching porn (passive) and trolling the internet (passive). Honestly, it was probably the most passive book I've ever read. I just kept waiting for something to happen! And in a menage book... that's saying a lot.
I really liked this. Marissa finding herself in her personal and sexual was an amazing journey. The love they had for one another is a once in a lifetime.
