No depth. Either the writer failed to handle the topic with more depth, or the translation failed. Either way, there was so much more that could be done on a topic like this.. But wasn't.

No spoilers.. This book is for those who want to pull their life altogether again . It is for those who want to get a dose of motivation and to feel that if they (main characters of the story) can do, achieve big things, why can't me?
This story is a fusion of emotions, short glimpses of the India's Silicon Valley- Bangalore in between and a pure description about an infamous section of our society which needs recognition!

"Children of a better God" is a book about spastic children studying in a special school. The writer wrote the book for the sole purpose of advocating their cause, so it reads like a non-fiction documentary. However, a couple of scenes are really touching. It is not written too well, but part of it may have been because of the book having been translated from Oriya.

The book takes you through a beautiful journey of how special are the specially challenged kids. It takes the reader into a completely different world. It gives you a new dimension and perspective about life. Author seems to have a deep connect with what she has written and the explanation is so vivid that it leaves the reader with emotions to rejoice.

One of the most emotionally touching books! It raises awareness of the agony and mental stress that such special children and their families are subject to. Though the characters are fictionalized, the pain and anguish is real.

A quick and good read. I was really touched by the style of the author. Very touching subject as well. This book talks about the children suffering from cerebral palsy, the school that works for them. The human relations around the children are treated in a touching manner.
