Rachel Elizabeth Dalton is a 5th grader living in Apache, Oklahoma when Pearl Harbor is bombed and the world changes forever. She and best friend Paul are bona fide members of Captain Mignights' Secret Squadron and thus on the lookout for spies, saboteurs and secret agents. Surely the new kid, John Alan Feester, is a spy - Rachel is determined to prove it! Excellent character development and story. Use this book in a classroom to help 5th gr - 8th gr get an understanding of American culture in the 1940's.

I participated in a workshop with Author Molly Levite Griffis, she is a wonderful and engaging speaker.
