The problem with being behind in my writing of reviews and not behind in the reading is that when I get to the notes for a book I read and find that there are few to no notes and then I realize that I can barely remember what if anything I liked about said book. Which makes me think real hard because most of the books I have read I remember with clarity and especially my favorite parts. My favorite part of this story took place at the beginning at the fountain. Other than that, the story though fairly thorough is more of an introduction to all the players mixed in with some mostly steam worthy moments. What I think surprised me the most was the ending, because I know this is only the part one so I expected a cliff hanger but this book could be a stand-alone for the lack of a cliff hanger to hook you into a strong desire to read part 2.
I did read book 2 after finishing this book and will get that review out as soon as I can but for this book I think a three-star rating fits this book for the story line that was way less climatic than the sex scenes.
3.75 out of 5. This two-part novel could easily be called "Lives of the Rich & Famous" as it is set in a community where the streets are almost paved with gold. The Ellis brothers have taken over their conglomerate from their dads and are both still "players" who are well-known for their social excesses. Their "arm candy" women are often the subject of news articles in the area. Along comes a very ordinary woman who is committed to seeing poor children receive some of the educational stimuli that they miss and who knows that unless she secures some hefty funding from private sources, the youth center will close. With that reality facing her, she goes to the Ellis brothers seeking charitable contributions and manages to entice them without even being aware that her honesty, femininity, authenticity, and deep caring for people has attracted them far more than any woman they have ever known. They begin to woo her, wine and dine her, and roll out the treasures to keep her enticed, even to the point of putting together a dream weekend, flying her out on their personal jet, to an unknown location. Oh, and she gets some pretty hefty dollars out of them as well. Interesting read--rich guys with more money than they know what to do with, and yet the inner qualities of this little lady are the factors that turn them on. She is not thin---Rubenesque would be more accurate--she is short and she thinks of herself as ordinary. Perhaps the most endearing quality to this story is the contrast between her set of values and theirs--she lives in the real world and her experiences are the means whereby she brings them back into the reality of where most people live. But first, they are going to show her Nirvana.
I reread this because I realized I had never written a review on it and since it is one of my favorites it would be an excellent reread.
Madeline Spencer is in a bit of a pickle when one of the kids she takes care of throws another childs favorite bear in a pond at a fancy establishment. When she is about to jump in for teddy rescue, she ends up drawing a crowd and the attention of a man who has been watching the whole event unfold, and he has bad boy written all over him.
Garrett Ellis can't believe he let the intriguing woman get away, but he plans to find her. Although Garrett has spent his life as a bit of a playboy, he thinks he has just met the one for him and his brother Dalton.
Dalton is tired of carrying the load at Ellis Enterprises, Garrett works there but is not as focused when it comes to the details, usually Garrett is looking for his next conquest. When Garrett schedules an impromptu meeting, Dalton expects the worst but Madeline Spencer is a bit of a surprise and once he sets his eyes on her, he doesn't plan to let her go.
Great book, Madeline is confused initially because her feelings are so overwhelming. She is not from Male Order and jumping into a menage is foreign to her. Garret is delicious as the charmer but there is an intensity in Dalton that makes him an instant favorite. This is a review for both books, part 1 and 2.
Madeline Spencer heads to Male Order, Texas, a town just east of Dallas to get money for her nonprofit organization. Who would have thought that she would meet the men of her dreams?
The Ellis brothers were well off and had an enterprise in Male Order , TX they also were cowboys who love sharing their women but they didn’t think or even realize that Madeline would be the one until it happened. Madeline was tongue tied when she was around the brothers. Garrett was all business and Dalton loved to have fun. Through their courtship and on to the proposal they had fun and Madeline stayed in a sexually aroused state the whole time. She thought for sure that everyone would notice.
When danger came to threaten their well laid plans the brothers would do anything to protect what they had with Madeline and to keep her safe.
Ava and Sydney did a wonderful job of bringing you along for the ride in A Bride for Two Tycoons and their interpretation of a life with two men and one woman had the reader wanting Madeline’s life and also to get to Male Order, TX as fast as one could if it existed. Great work Ava and Sydney. I give it 4 Tea Cups.
"Let me turn that frown up side down." And so begins Garret annoying me until the main character that is a bit sexually backwards suddenly comes up with about 5 words to call her vajayjay....and then repeats each one about 5 times per page coming to about 25 mentions per page. Probably thousands of mentions for the whole book. Let me just say that I got to know her vajayjay really well and that it is wet, throbbing and at one time could speak because it was telling the main character what she wants. According to my kindle, this one sex scene starts at about 70% and goes to the end of the book. Wow, a book that a SINGLE roll in the hay-hay (trying not to get to repetitive mind you but I was going for five counts of the other word - rhyming with it will just have to work) took up so much of the book.
