KK Brees is the author of Headwind: The Intrepid Adventures of OSS Agent Katrin Nissen (Chalet, 2010). Headwind is the first in a series Karen hopes will become wildly popular and the gold standard of WWII female espionage fiction.

Writing as Karen K Brees, Ph.D., she has written The Complete Idiot's Guide to Preserving Food (Alpha Books, 2009) and The Everything Health Guide to Depression (Adams Media, 2008). She has co-written an additional four titles in the health and general interest fields.

When she's not writing, she's reading. Karen has been a bookmobile librarian, classroom teacher, and university professor. She quilts, sews, knits, gardens, raises goats and enjoys traveling.

Interesting account of a female spy in Denmark during World War II. I hadn't known much about the Danish involvement in the war before reading this book.
