I thought this one was much easier to understand what the signs were than the other children's sign book, but I think the most helpful way to learn is to see up close hand drawings (which probably wouldn't be that interesting to a child). It shows most food signs a young child would care about. I'm not convinced that reading about signs is really going to teach a child (who can't already talk out loud) how to sign. I think your best bet is for the parent to learn them and then teach them in a more "hands-on" situation (pun intended ;D).

If you are looking for sign language drawings to teach your kids, this would be good, but its not a bedtime story at all. That being said, my daughter said it was a very nice book. Illustrations are cute, and seemingly easy directions.

a larger than normal sized board book about all the things a baby might need the signs for during a meal. I liked the concept but would have liked to see less on each page but a great tool for babies.

This is an interesting book that teaches children sign language for meal time. This would be avoid book to show a class if you have a student in your class with a hearing problem.
