This is a good book for party inspirations for young children. When planning any kind of special event. But to me, with the internet so easily accessible, it seems rather superfluous. I work in a library so I am very pro-books, don't get me wrong! Also I am vegetarian and many of the recipes were meat-based.
A definite plus kind of tying into the above statement, the food is not at all just sweet sugary stuff. Those are in there, but there are also many choices for pizzas or chicken kebobs, things like that.
I wouldn't say the book is the only one you would need, but if one is planning a small event for a child, it is a nice resource to check out and get some ideas.
